Experienced producer, songwriter, mixing and mastering engineer specialzed in Rock and Metal.

ABOUT ME:
I started out as a musician, but soon developed a passion for audio engineering. I found myself chasing the exact sound I visioned for my own songs. I now have over 10 years of experience as a songwriter and audio engineer. I graduated with a DIPLOMA certificate. Also, I'm a audio and video designer.

I mostly work with artists in the Metal, Rock and Punk genres, but I'm comfortable with a multitude of musical styles, including Bohemian Brass Music ;)

Since I am a musician myself, I can provide beneficial input from an artistic as well as sonic point of view. Every production is an individual piece of art and deserves to be treated as such. Therefore, feel free to ask every question you have on your mind.

Furthermore, I work as a live sound engineer (mostly FOH). Here, I had the honor to accompany my friends in LIFESPARK. on their support tour for NORMANDIE and OUR LAST NIGHT.

Interview with Steffen Walter

Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Mostly digital due to recall options and flexibility. But I also use analog gear while recording, so I commit to a certain sound for vocals especially.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: A blend between more nostalgic/traditional and modern approaches.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Mostly metal, rock and punk. That being said, I also work with an bohemian brass orchestra and have mastered in most common genres.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: If I wrote it myself, I'll bring the vertical and horizontal arrangement. If I client brings a song, I bring a fresh perspective and ideas regarding variation and song dynamic in order to enhance the song's impact.

Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: These days, I'm mostly working as a front of house engineer. Apart from that, I record, mix and master for various bands, while also supporting them with songwriting.
