Interview with Fletcher Scott
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: My studio is built around vintage instruments and high-end recording gear. I track a 1955 Hammond B3 w/ Leslie, Rhodes Mark I, and Steinway baby grand through Neve, API, and SSL preamps, into LA-2A/1176/SSL Buss compressors and Black Lion converters. Sessions run in Pro Tools and Logic, with a full suite of plugins and synths.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Iβm inspired by players like Billy Preston, Benmont Tench, Ray Charles, and Chuck Leavell β musicians who bring taste, soul, and restraint, always playing in service of the song.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Most often I record Hammond B3, Rhodes, Wurlitzer, and piano parts that add depth, feel, and soul to a track. I deliver clean, mix-ready stems that support the song without getting in the way.
