Great writer! I worked with him on my song “Wait On You” (unreleased demo), where he created a melody pass onto the beat for the chorus of my song when I had no idea what to come up with. He also wrote a song for my singing group with catchy lyrics and a fun new melody that added to our sound. He’s very easy, manageable, has a wide variety, and is great to work with, he takes his time, but is also quick with his work! The songs he writes and produces always have a catchy beat and melody to them.

I love working with Kai we have been on about three songs together. He has even featured in my songs and wrote a few verses. He’s very consistent with what he makes and he make sure to take time and put effort into it and if he doesn’t like the finish product, he will try again. He has never been someone to give up. He has always worked hard and tried hard and for the past year so I’ve known him he has always put effort into what he wants and loves, which is music.
Interview with unknown
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: I love being part of an artist’s vision and helping them bring that vision to life, even beyond just the songwriting aspect. Helping artists with their fashion and visual look is also a passion of mine, and I would love to pursue it in the future as a creative director.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What are your goals as an artist? What is your ethos? How would you describe your music and style? Do you have a Pinterest board that you draw inspo from?
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: Even though music has been a dream of mine since I was a kid, I’m fairly new to making it. I started actually recording demos when I was about 16, put out my first song at 17, started promoting myself more at 18, and now aspire to write for/with other artists at 19. My goal for the next year is to start finding community with artists who I can mesh well with and be good friends with.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Autotuned glitter.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: There’s a lot of artists that I really admire that are on the come up right now that I would love to work with; Cannelle, SAILORR, Amelia Moore, to name a few. They all seem really confident in who they are as artists, and I would love to be a part of their visions.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Definitely melody. Whenever I listen to music, no matter the genre or artist, I am constantly studying the way it’s being used in a song, which helps me get better at it myself. I see melody as my main way of conveying emotions in music. Yes, lyrics do it in a more obvious way, but melodies are like a language without words, which is way more interesting.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I have a lot of inspirations from a lot of different genres, but I would say my big 3 are Ariana Grande, Doja Cat and Megan Thee Stallion. I love Ariana’s use of melody and the way she creates them. I remember stumbling across a leaked Pro Tools session of her mumbling over a beat; that’s where I learned what a melody pass was, and I continue to refer back to it every time I record. Doja Cat’s sense of style has always inspired me. She’s so diverse genre-wise and I always try to embody that versatility as a songwriter and artist. And Meg’s lyricism has always stuck out to me. She has a lot of wit and humour to her writing style that I try to use when I write.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: While I am able to write lyrics and formulate melodies separately, when I work with artists, they typically ask for fully written and recorded demos from me. This is the type of work I enjoy the most as it allows me to fully flesh out an idea for a song without being restricted to only lyrics or melody.
