E1evnn on SoundBetter

Self-taught engineer, producer, and piano player with 6+ years crafting radio-ready records across hip-hop, R&B, and pop. I specialize in vocal precision and polished mixes while blending technical skill with creative vision. Beyond polishing tracks, I help artists shape their signature sound and bring musicality to every project.

I’m e1evnn, an audio engineer and producer based in New Jersey, with a strong focus on mixing and mastering. My goal is simple: to elevate every track to its fullest potential and make it sound release-ready.

Music is more than just sound to me — it’s connection, emotion, and building lasting relationships with the artists I work with. I take every project seriously, treating it with the same passion and precision as if it were my own.

Alongside engineering and production, I’m also a self-taught piano player, which adds a layer of musicality and creativity to my approach. Whether I’m refining a vocal mix, polishing a master, or shaping the overall feel of a record, I’m committed to bringing out the best in every project.

If you’re looking for someone who will not only deliver high-quality sound but also invest in your vision, let’s connect and make something timeless together.

Interview with E1evnn

  1. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  2. A: In terms of survival, I'll bring with me, some sort of water filtration system, multi-tool knife, some sort of fire starter, some sort of tarp for shelter, and a signaling device.

  3. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  4. A: My career path is still active, I have two goal that I am working towards accomplishing. My first is with music, I have plans to use my uniqueness as a fresh breath of air in the industry closing the bridge from what disconnects artists and fulfillment in their music. I am also actively in college pursuing my cognitive psychology degree, furthering my passions outside of music, to also some day connect the two together. Audio engineering, music production and the study of the mind. I feel like all three are interchangeable when looking through the lens of a creative, and as an individual.

  5. Q: How would you describe your style?

  6. A: Natural, organic, energetic, passionate

  7. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  8. A: Sondae is on my radar for artist I'll love to work with. The reason why is because of how I resonate with his song and his sound. You can hear it in almost all his music that his songs are very very personal to him, his execution to let his listeners understand what he is feeling, and to share that we're not alone when it comes to the personal roadblocks we deal with on the day to day.

  9. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  10. A: One musical production tip I'll share is: "learn all the rules to break them; creativity doesn't lie within a rigorous rule book to follow, it flows naturally through freedom." I believe its important to understand why "rules" were set, but even more important to understand why its meant to be manipulated.

  11. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  12. A: I usually work on a few local artists music as of right now, and my own as well. A side from me being an audio engineer, I am also an artist, but a producer artist. I have a few projects that I dropped as an artist being a producer.

  13. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  14. A: My strongest skill, is that I am a people person, I naturally tend to radiate pure positive energy, it's just who I am. I believe before all hands on work, we have to get through the psychological side of what it means to connect and relate to one another.

  15. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  16. A: I bring compassion and authenticity. This is really a passion for me, not a job. I always aim to go above and beyond for my clients showing that this is more than just music to me.

  17. Q: What's your typical work process?

  18. A: My typical work process consists of: "breaking the ice" - this usually naturally happens when the client first comes to the studio, or if its a stem-mixing session, it'll happen during a call, via zoom or FaceTime. Recording the vocals: My primary focus when it comes to recording vocals is setting the foundation to set us up for success with a clean mix. This may consist of clients diving deep into themselves to pull that raw emotion out so it can be laid perfectly on the project. After vocal recording is done, I usually do a light mix for the client to go home with something valid, then I thats when I'll start my dive into the mix. I really use my ears to make the vocal go from one level to the next, this process involves eq, dynamic eq, comp, parallel comp, side chain, full master.

  19. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  20. A: I have a home studio set-up.

  21. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  22. A: On my producer side, other music professionals that inspire me are film scores.

  23. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  24. A: The most common work I do for clients would consist of vocal recordings, vocal mixes and mastering.
