I have been providing extraordinary and top quality piano tracks and arrangements to clients for the past 20 years. My clients include some of Hollywood's top stars and producers.
I've been playing piano professionally for 20 years, since age 10. Over 2500 performances and have composed and recorded over 150 original songs. And I've arranged dozens of songs and recorded hundreds of piano tracks for others. For more information, please go to Steven Solomon.com :)
I record using Logic X and Native Instruments Komplete. As a special offer here on SoundBetter, I am happy to record any piano only track or tracks that you have written out, or that I'm able to improvise on, (to the specifics of your project) as long as all tracks do not exceed 3:00 minutes in total length for a special price starting at only $125 per track. One revision if necessary is included in this pricing.
Under different fee arrangements, I can do arrangements of songs too, add additional instrumentation, pads, and voice and can transcribe music to 'Sheet Music' and am available for in-studio session recording and for jobbing as a sideman on the piano/keyboard here in the LA area. I am also an accomplished accompanist.
I am very collaborative, easy-going and easy to work with. I always enjoy what I do musically and my philosophy as a professional full-time musician is that "making and performing music is serious fun" :)

Interview with Steven Solomon Music
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I love working on anything piano-related for clients. I have a collection of lovely piano sounds that I use on all types of projects; from recording piano for a vocalist to sing over, to something pop, classical, or jazzy. I also enjoy making any transcriptions or sheet music. I use Logic to create hundreds of demos for my original music, and therefore I have produced for others also.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: The pianists Oscar Peterson, Mozart, and Ben Folds are just a few pianists that inspire me. I love the artists Electric Light Orchestra, the Beatles, and Tame Impala.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have a couple of home studios in Los Angeles as well as Chicago. I have several Yamaha keyboards with great piano sounds, as well as Logic which I work in every day. I use numerous Kontakt, Waves and Valhalla plugins as well.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: When someone asks for a piece to be created, transcribed, or transposed, I like to know just what the client is looking for before I give them a timeline and price quote. Every project is different; some clients want solo piano for a pop song, other clients what me to create a Christmas song and sing the vocal and create sheet music for it. Once I determine what the client is looking for, I will give them a proposal. It's important I understand and determine how I can get what the client has in mind on to a recording I create. Then, when they are happy with my proposal, I will work in my studio and come up with something they like and can use. I present the first version to them, and then usually after a version or two of crafting the music...viola! The piece is sent and the client is happy :)
