Ariel Shafir is a New York based drummer, drum technician, recording and mixing engineer, who specializes in Drum Sound Design. This includes anything from selecting the appropriate hardware and gear, drum setup, tuning, and maintenance, mic selection and positioning, recording as well as mixing.

I specialize in what I like to call "Drum Sound Design", which basically means I am dedicated to deliver the best sounding and most appropriate drum sound to a recording or live show, from the very initial stages, and all the way to the end process.
I am also a Berklee College of Music (Boston, MA) Bachelor of Music graduate, drum set principle, and offer session drumming services as well.
I have my own recording gear setup and can work on location, but can also work in any standard studio. I have extensive experience recording, mixing and editing on Avid Pro Tools.
