Interview with manueljosssue
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: The song in my profile called "SKY" is very special for me... It was a Chill House demo i made for a work for hire mexican company and they unfortanely rejected it, so i sended it to one of the producers i work with, in this case was a Grammy awarded Alejandro Armes, who loved the demo and made a version himself with the stems, and when i get the stems back i made it a lot different because he wanted a track with afro house vibes on it, but i feeled that techno groove it has so i take it to that level, and thats what became, and im very proud of it.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Im a full time producer and DJ.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: That i can do what i love, make music.
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Whenever you can provide a reference for what you're looking for, do it. This way, you'll be able to ensure the producer's work is much more accurate and in the shortest possible time.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: A laptop with a good processor, vga and ram A good pair of headphones/inears with almost a 100% lineal balance in the spectral frequency. My pr1s by DJ Nelson and NDM Audio. A audio interface from Universal Audio. And a solid state drive of 1tb to save all my work.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I would like to work with Jhayco because is one of my favorite actual singers and songwriters, because of his fresh sounds and collaborations he has made with skrillex and his amaizing work with Tainy and Mvsis. In the EDM industry i would be honour to collaborate with skrillex or virtual riot, they are my idols and most biggest influences in all generes.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Sometimes less is more, not all is about using the more futuristic vst with the more sick preset... Sometimes just a simple sine wave with a bit o f processing can became a very great sound to match with the track you're working on. Dont look for aparience or trendings, look on your heart what you feel your track better with.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: EDM, Urban music and Pop music
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Skrillex, Virtual Riot, Nico De Andrea, Junkie Kid, Avaion, Manybeat, Tainy, Sky, Duskus & many others
