Hi, I’m Am Élie — a singer-songwriter and producer based in Sydney.

I specialize in electropop and emotional, atmospheric alt-pop genres — songwriting, toplining, and full track production. I also write/produce indie acoustic tracks that highlight raw, intimate performances.

Whether you're looking for a topliner, female vocalist, songwriter, lyricist, or a producer to bring your vision to life, I bring a unique sound and a mix of formal training and hands-on experience. I studied at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and the Talent Development Project, and I’ve worked with producers like Philippe-Marc Anquetil (One Direction, Jessie J) and Adrian Breakspear (Pharrell Williams, Ricky Martin).

My music has been supported by Triple J, TIDAL’s RISING editorial playlist, and Apple Music’s editorial Neu in: Pop. I was named a Top 10 up-and-coming Australian artist by JBL.

If you're looking for someone who can bring raw storytelling, layered production, and a fresh, alternative pop identity to your project — let’s work together.

Interview with Am Élie

  1. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  2. A: Right now, I’m releasing my concept album 'Phases', which traces the psychological stages of a toxic relationship. Each track is being released one by one, with each song revealing a different chapter in the story. My latest release 'Hot Cold Lover' (track 4 of the album) is about that early stage of a relationship where you're super into someone who's blowing hot and cold constantly, and it messes with your head, but you're still too emotionally invested to step back and see it clearly.

  3. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  4. A: I usually ask about their creative vision and goals, the mood and themes they want to explore, references or inspirations, their preferred workflow and deadlines, and any specific vocal or production needs. Understanding their story helps me tailor the song to their authentic voice.

  5. Q: How would you describe your style?

  6. A: My style is moody, 'cinematic' alt-pop with electropop beats — blending dreamy, atmospheric moments with high-energy, dynamic choruses. It’s emotionally raw, left-of-center pop that feels eccentric, yet intimate.

  7. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  8. A: My personal style blends vibrant energy with immersive atmospheres, eccentric textures, and emotionally charged pop melodies, often with a dark or introspective edge, though I'm able to adapt to a wide range of genres and tailor my approach to each artist’s unique vision.

  9. Q: What's your typical work process?

  10. A: My process really depends on the genre, the service needed — whether it’s production, songwriting, vocals — and the client’s workflow. But for full track production, I usually begin by getting to know the emotional core of the song and the artist’s vision. I ask about any lyric ideas, imagery, or themes they already have, which helps me understand the vibe they’re going for. From there, I build out the production — starting with textures, beats, and sound worlds that match the emotion of the track. I often draw directly from our conversations to shape the arrangement and mood. Melodies and lyrics are built on top of that foundation. Vocal production is a key focus — making sure the vocal tone, delivery, and layers support the emotion and style of the track. Throughout the process, I prioritize clear communication and collaboration to keep everything aligned.

  11. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  12. A: I’m inspired by artists like Halsey, Lana Del Rey, and Melanie Martinez for their immersive sonic worlds and bold yet vulnerable, cinematic storytelling. Working with producers like Philippe-Marc Anquetil and Adrian Breakspear has shaped my instinct for balancing raw emotional expression with refined, intentional production choices — they taught me how to chase feeling without sacrificing clarity or structure.

  13. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  14. A: It really depends on the client’s needs and vision — my services range from toplining, songwriting, and vocal performance/production to full track production. I work across pop, electropop, alt-pop, and indie styles, with a focus on emotional, textured songs that blend moody, cinematic atmospheres with catchy, melodic hooks.
