I bring your story to life in the mix. Your music has something to say - let's make sure it’s heard, felt, and remembered.
Producing, mixing, and mastering music is as much about feeling as it is about frequencies.
I've spent 15+ years mixing, mostly my own records, and I've mixed and mastered for other artists too. "Uh-Huh" by Ryan Lucas came together entirely remotely, from raw stems to finished master, and went out on Spotify. That's how I like to work: you send the session, I take it the rest of the way.
I handle the unglamorous parts as well as the mix. Editing, comping, time alignment and vocal tuning all happen before I touch a fader, because a mix can only be as good as what's underneath it.
I'm drawn to music with atmosphere and emotional clarity: Radiohead, Sigur Rós, The National, Jon Hopkins. Indie rock, ambient electronica, experimental pop. I've worked with most DAWs out there and currently prefer Luna and Ableton, on Genelec 8340As with a Universal Audio Apollo x6 gen 2, in a room that sounds good. I check every mix on headphones and small speakers before it goes out.
I'm especially open to first-time artists and passion projects. If you have a clear vision and a story worth telling, send it over.
