TombFalcon Studios

Singer/Songwriter/Producer

TombFalcon Studios on SoundBetter

I am a singer/songwriter/producer with a good handle on electric and acoustic guitar, slide, mandolin, bass and drums to help bring your songs from inception to the next stage or jump in on a studio session. Check TombFalcon Studios on all streaming platforms to see my independent instrumental works.

I can assist in many aspects of song production and arrangement with different styles to draw from to add options to the rough beginnings or intermediate stages of tracks. I can add instruments and vocals where needed and have access to many tools to inspire new ideas and grooves. My main areas of focus are Rock, Classic Rock, Pop, Blues, Alternative, 80's synth, Reggae and Jazz, and the combination of these styles.
If you're just starting a project I can draw from hundreds of ideas I have from years of writing and help get the juices flowing again if you're stuck. Sometimes a FreshEar is helpful to get through the block and I can navigate through many different options in short order, focusing or widening the sonic possibilities going forward.
I have performed live throughout my life and can bring a raw energy to your project that might be the key to finding that unique sound.

Interview with TombFalcon Studios

  1. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  2. A: Pop/Rock or alternative, folk and reggae.

  3. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  4. A: Songwriting, lyrics and rhythm guitar are my biggest strengths.

  5. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  6. A: I can add many different textures and options, drawing from mostly classic rock and pop music from the 80’s with a raw sound stemming from the alternative genre.

  7. Q: What's your typical work process?

  8. A: I try to get an overview of the song and then start with the percussion and rough guitar and bass. Lyrics always tend to change a little throughout so the melody can help shape that mood.

  9. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  10. A: I use Logic with the Apogee Symphony Desktop as the converter. The Manley Core tube channel strip handles most of the work alongside the Warm Audio WA-67 tube condenser microphone. I use the Focusrite ISA2 and Royer R10 ribbon microphone for many things and have several different valve guitar amps to choose from. I have an original Rode NT1 condenser mic from the 90’s that’s modified to cut some of the harshness and Shure SM7b.

  11. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  12. A: The production of Fleetwood Mac and Genesis have stuck with me since childhood and David Bowie has been a huge inspiration for songwriting and musical expression.

  13. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  14. A: I assist in the composition of music and lyrics from rough ideas and add instruments to bring the production to the next stage.
