Studio Musician with expertise in Drumming, Guitar, Trombone, and Producing/Mixing songs.
Hey! My names Ethan and I’m a 17 year old Musician. I always had a background in drumming as a child but never took it seriously until my freshman year of high school. In middle school I picked up trombone and still play it into my senior year of high school. I’ve competed in the Region Band tryouts, have made state Solo and Ensemble, and play in my schools Varsity Band as first chair.
Meanwhile, I began producing drum covers my freshman year and had started to learn the mixing game, to my make my drums sound better. Around a year of playing drums I had done my first show playing Country music with some friends. We later performed the same show a few months later, and I prepared for a 90’s rock show some time after that. I’m a big fan of Punk Rock, Metal, and technical drumming.
After my shows simmered down I picked up
the guitar in my offseason. I had always wanted to make music but only knowing drums and little music theory limited my abilities. I’ve been playing guitar for over a year and pride myself in picking up the instrument and expressing myself through it. I can confidently play the parts you are looking for.

Interview with Ethan Flores
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: I feel confident as a mixer but the mixing game is so diluted. Everyone can do it but I feel I have experience with real instrumentation mixing.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: How Long do I have to work on it, Do you have an idea of what you want it to sound like?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: I’m a young instrumentalist. I understand that I am not as accomplished as other musicians but I really enjoy my craft.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: I think I would take the new Mark Holcomb PRS Core guitar just to love on it. I’d probably bring a Gibson Les Paul to have that Signature sound. I’d bring a Marshall Plexi and a Mesa Dual Rectifier (both with their respective cabs)
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I have been working as an Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technician in the Summer of 25’ and have enjoyed it, but I spend all my free time in the studio after work.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Punk, Emo, Technical
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Gatsbys American Dream. Their songs have been with my since I was a baby and I’ve been playing them over and over striving to perfectly master them. I just love that band.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Play to a metronome. Producers hate having to time correct your playing, and it can ruin the sound when time corrected.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Punk, Rock, Indie, Singer-Songwriter
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My drumming is my strongest skill. Starting as a beginner learning Coheed and Cambria opened my skill immensely, also being a left handed drummer learning both Open handed technique and Closed Hand, My brain opened up in ways that are harder for right handers. I also love Double Bass.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring Energy and try to rearrange things to go in the expected and unexpected ways. If a song calls for a pop chorus or bridge, I’ll try to rearrange the song to fit the box, or if the song makes you rethink the direction, I can do that easily too.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I listen to a track with the instructions given and try to imagine what I can add. I’m a very creative person and don’t struggle with thinking of the part.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I run my Zoom L20R studio rack mixer into my Macbook Pro with the M3 Pro chip, out through my studio monitors. I use Studio One too.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Gatsbys American Dream is a huge inspiration for defying boundaries to how you expect a song to play out. The Dear Hunter are even more of a inspiration for their unique way to tell a story through an album and how Casey Crescenzo arranged instruments to make a beautiful song.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
