I write emotional and impactful songs. A truly good song can feel like a religious experience. I'm always chasing that rush.
I'm a singer-songwriter, lyricist and vocalist from Minneapolis, MN. I recently completed a 6 month Ableton Live program and am working on a new EP. I commonly collaborate with dubstep and EDM artists and other genres providing lyrics and strong hooks. I have years of experience in vocal performance as well as songwriting theory. I wrote and recorded a full album in Nashville. My experience in the fundamentals of songwriting and vocals enables me to write quickly and to come up with truly original ideas. I also love what I do, so working with me is always an upbeat and fun experience.

Interview with Brynn
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: I'm working on new songs that are more pop oriented and accessible. I'd love to eventually license some of my music for TV and movies.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I've been playing piano since I was 8, writing songs since I was 11 and have never looked back. I have released two pop albums. Recently I've been focused more on learning production and deepening collaboration with other musicians. I also completed a 6 month Ableton Live training program at Slam Academy in Minneapolis. It was exhilarating to gain more control over my musical and creative process.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I would love to work with Lykke Li because she's very good at balancing pop music with emotion and depth.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: My songwriting tip is to use a real pen and paper when you write. It makes the words come out slower but the lyrics are usually more human.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: My songs usually start as a simple chorus or verse with keys and then evolve into a pop song with an infectious beat. In collaborating with other music, I am able to add powerful hooks in the melody as well as lyrics that have a story that makes the listener want to follow. I'm able to insert myself into any style and I am excited to dive deeper into EDM, hip hop, dubstep and other pop genres.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Lyrics and impactful female vocals
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I use Ableton Live, multiple keyboards like a weighted-key Casio Privia, Alesis VI49 and Novation LaunchKey. I use a Scarlett Solo interface and an AudioTechnica microphone with a vocal shield.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: As a songwriter I'm tremendously inspired by Sia and Lykke Li. I can be enchanged by any style of music - from a roots style country song to a heavy EDM song.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I characteristically provide both vocals and lyrics for my client. I am very skilled with hooks and bridges as well as a strong melody.
