Interview with SickStyle
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My strongest skills are beat production, arrangement, and mix engineering. I have a deep understanding of how to structure a track so it flows naturally and keeps the listener engaged. My mixes are detailed, punchy, and balanced — always serving the emotion and energy of the song while maintaining a professional, release-ready sound.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring clarity, emotion, and dimension. I help artists elevate their songs through vocal refinement, precise automation, creative FX, and a sonic signature that stands out but never overpowers the core message of the music.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I start by understanding the artist’s vision and reference points. Then I clean and process the vocals, do a rough mix, and refine it with feedback. I pay close attention to details in dynamics, space, and tone to deliver a final mix/master that feels alive, balanced, and emotionally true to the track.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I work on FOCAL TRIO 11 , treated room with accurate low-end response, and a hybrid setup including high-end plugins (UAD, FabFilter, SoundToys). My DAW of choice is Fl studio and Pro Tools.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I’m inspired by producers like Max Martin, Mike Dean, and Rick Rubin — not just for their technical skills, but for their ability to bring out the soul of an artist and craft timeless records.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I specialize in vocal production, mixing, and mastering across a variety of genres — from pop and hip-hop to R&B and cinematic music. Most of my clients come to me for a polished, radio-ready sound and strong vocal presence that cuts through the mix.
