COLESON (born August 18, 1982) is a spiritual, unorthodox, alternative hip-hop artist whose music is rooted in lived experience, resilience, and purpose. Spending half of his life in Chesapeake, Virginia and the other half in Goldsboro, North Carolina, his sound reflects a bridge between introspection and grit—East Coast lyricism tempered by Southern soul. Every verse carries the marks of movement, survival, and self-definition.

Formerly known as DeLiverance, COLESON spent years building a foundation under that name before publicly closing the chapter with the “DeLiverance Is Dead” post in January 2025. The moment marked not an ending, but a rebirth—shedding an identity shaped by survival and stepping fully into one defined by intention, ownership, and creative freedom. COLESON is not an alter ego; it is the artist standing whole, unmasked, and self-directed.

Working independently and on his own terms, COLESON is no stranger to adversity. Rather than allowing hardship to harden him, he transforms it into cinematic, emotionally charged music that speaks to faith, struggle, healing, and inner power. His catalog moves fluidly between raw storytelling and uplifting, faith-driven tracks, designed not just to be heard, but felt. Built alongside and for his family, COLESON’s art is both personal and communal, blending music, meaning, and atmosphere.
