My name is Eric Ferrer I am a Cuban musician, songwriter, and composer based in Chicago, known for my rich musicality and deep-rooted passion for Latin and jazz traditions. A multi-instrumentalist specializing in acoustic and bass guitar, I began my musical journey at the age of 13 and I have since developed a versatile career spanning Cuban music, pop, ballads, and original jazz compositions.
Currently, I performs with Raíces, a Latin jazz ensemble celebrated for its vibrant, culturally infused sound that brings together traditional rhythms with modern jazz harmonies. My role as both a performer and composer adds depth and originality to the group’s musical identity.
My music reflects my Cuban heritage while embracing a wide range of genres, blending rhythmic complexity with lyrical expression. Whether he's writing heartfelt ballads or intricate jazz pieces, my work is driven by a commitment to authenticity, groove, and musical storytelling.
