Interview with Emma Timlin
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Currently, I'm working on a lot of songs to pitch in the Asian Music Market, including popular Kpop groups!
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I usually work on Pop, Kpop, Rnb, and House tracks
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: One of my strongest skills as a singer is how quickly I can come up with the perfect harmonies on the spot for the track. As a topliner, my strongest skill is creating catchy and fun hooks.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I record fresh, emotional vocals that fit the vibe of the track with stunning harmonies
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Depending on what service you would like from me, I usually start with a track provided by the producer, and if there is no topline already written, I will figure out a melody we are both happy with, then write lyrics. Once everything is approved, I will go ahead and record Lead Vocals, Doubles, and double check you are happy with those, then record harmonies and adlibs and send you a roughly mixed bounce to make sure you are satisfied. Once everything is approved, I will bounce out dry vocal stems and wet vocal stems (If you wish) for you to add into your project and complete the track.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have a studio from home, my main equipment includes: Mic - SM7b DAW - Cubase Audio Interface - Steinberg UR22
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I record Professional and high quality vocals for my Clients on tracks they have already written. I also provide toplines for my Clients (Melody and Lyrics). I deliver Dry and Wet Vocal Stems of Lead vocals, Doubles, Harmonies, Adlibs.
