as a songwriter my music as charted no.1 in a top 5 in one of the biggest radio stations on island called The Wave. my first time ever writing for someone that song made it to the finals in a island wide song competition
I'm a 28 year old singer songwriter from the island of St Lucia, born with the passion to create music. Growing up music was something that i just enjoyed listening to. And being a 90s baby, from the Caribbean, reggae was the first genre of music that really made me love music. listening to the legendary Bob Marley for the first time really sparked something in me. But along side that, was dancehall music which i couldn't get enough of. Omg and soca music. I was raised of so much amazing music which has helped shape my style and how i view music. From hip hop,RnB, Jazz, the list goes on. And with all this knowledge that I've gained over the years and still learning, i can now do what they did and do it how i wanna do it so i can find my place in this world. i have written songs which has charted at no.1 on a top 5 list, songs I've written in the past still get air play on radio still. My first written song got to finals in a competition my island holds every year in the carnival season. Which was a great achievement for me and it really has been one of my biggest motivators that i can do this and do it at a really high level and I'm going for it.
