Interview with YGR3K Production

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: One project I’m particularly proud of was a full production I did for a client who was preparing their debut release. I handled everything from the initial idea to the final mixdown. It was exciting to shape their vision from scratch and help them launch their artist brand with confidence. Seeing the track receive positive feedback made the experience even more rewarding.

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: I’m currently working on several ghost production projects in various EDM subgenres — from melodic house to hard techno. I’m also developing a few original ideas that may evolve into a solo release or collaboration in the future.

  5. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  6. A: Although I mainly focus on production, I often recommend talented vocalists and mix engineers from the platform based on the client’s needs. I believe in collaboration and connecting people to the right talent.

  7. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  8. A: I primarily work in the digital, because its 2025.

  9. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  10. A: My promise is to deliver tracks that sound professional, match your artistic vision, and are ready for release — no shortcuts, no generic templates. Every track is custom-made with attention to detail.

  11. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  12. A: I love the creative freedom and versatility that music production offers. Every project is a fresh challenge, and I enjoy helping artists bring their ideas to life, whether it's an emotional melodic piece or a club-ready banger.

  13. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  14. A: Many ask, “Can you match the style of this reference track?” Absolutely — I analyze references carefully and create something unique that fits within that sound while still feeling original and authentic.

  15. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  16. A: People often think ghost production is just about making a beat and handing it over. In reality, it’s a full creative and technical process that involves understanding the artist’s identity, fine-tuning every element, and delivering a track that sounds like them, not me.

  17. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  18. A: I ask about their vision, musical references, target audience, and release plans. Knowing their goals helps me shape the production in a way that supports their identity as an artist.

  19. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  20. A: Look for someone who listens — not just to your music but to your ideas. Chemistry and communication matter as much as technical skill. Choose a producer who’s not just executing tasks, but invested in helping you grow.

  21. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  22. A: A laptop with FL Studio, a pair of studio headphones, FabFilter Suite, Nexus and Serum. That combo would let me create pretty much anything, even in the middle of nowhere.

  23. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  24. A: I started as a hobbyist over 10 years ago, learning production while experimenting with different electronic genres. Over time, I transitioned into ghost production and freelance work, and now I produce full-time for artists across the globe.

  25. Q: How would you describe your style?

  26. A: My style is clean yet powerful, emotional yet club-ready. I combine modern EDM sound design with a cinematic touch — perfect for artists who want to stand out but still sound fresh.

  27. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  28. A: Skrillex, because it's just a Skrillex!

  29. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  30. A: Never underestimate contrast. A powerful drop only hits if the break feels atmospheric and restrained. Use automation, filtering, and dynamic shifts to give each section its own identity.

  31. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  32. A: I mostly work within the EDM spectrum — Bass House, Future House, Melodic house & Techno, Progressive, Future Rave, and sometimes festival-style big room or tech house. I’m flexible but have a passion for dance music that tells a story.

  33. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  34. A: My strongest skill is arrangement. I know how to build tension, create engaging transitions, and structure a track so that it feels dynamic and keeps the listener hooked from start to finish.

  35. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  36. A: I bring clarity, energy, and emotional impact. My goal is always to elevate the artist’s idea with strong arrangements, polished sound design, and a sonic identity that feels both current and distinctive.

  37. Q: What's your typical work process?

  38. A: I begin by discussing the artist’s vision and gathering references. Then I build a foundation — usually starting with drums and chord progressions — before layering melodies, sound design, and FX. Once the structure is solid, I move on to detailed mixing and final tweaks. The client stays involved throughout via previews and feedback rounds.

  39. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  40. A: Its all my setup right now, hardware and software i use: Apollo Twin, Neumann KH 120 AG, Beyerdynamic Dt 1990 Pro, FL Studio, Realphones, Nexus 5, Serum 2, Kontakt, Izotope, Fabfilter.

  41. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  42. A: David Guetta, Brooks, Skrillex,

  43. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  44. A: I mostly provide full-track ghost production — from concept development to final mix and mastering. Clients often come with a rough idea or reference track, and I turn it into a professionally produced, release-ready song.
