Hey! I am Victoria, a session musician from Regina, SK, Canada. I have been playing guitar for just over 7 years and have lots of experience in playing rock, alternative, metal, and pop music. When making rock or metal music I take strong inspiration from bands like Black Veil Brides, Three Days Grace, Paramore, and State Champs. When I have an inquiry to do a session I have the artist send me the track that they want me to play on, along with some artists that inspire them or the sound of the song. This helps me get a full understanding of what the client is asking for and I can create something with meaning and emotion. I offer a high quality product that will really bring your song to life. I make sure to communicate thoroughly throughout the writing and recording process.

Interview with Victoria Perras

Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I promise to deliver a high quality product that will make their song stand out. I will be in contact with my clients throughout the whole recording process to ensure it is up to their standards.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: I have a file full of rock/alternative ideas. Always seems to be my go to. I also enjoy making smooth and relaxing tracks as well.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: I am very strong with rhythm guitar and fun/tasty leads.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I sit down and listen to the song a client brings to me, then I map out the guitar parts that I can visualize in my head. I like to pay attention to the emotions and feelings I have when listening so I can translate it over to the guitar.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I run my Schecter and pedals into my Scarlet 2i2 interface into my DAW. Super simple and effective.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I am heavily inspired by Black Veil Brides and the guitar harmonies that they have in every song, along with the punchy riffs. I play a lot out of the music catalogue of Lilith Czar, Andy Black, Three Days Grace, and Beartooth, along with many others.
