I’ve spent much of the last 15 years’ experience as an independent producer/composer and sound designer, creating unique music and sounds for my own productions and for the projects of others. My career started around 15 years ago after receiving professional training/education in RMIT’s Sound Production course (Melbourne, Australia), where my final graduation piece went on to win international awards for its sound design.

A recent highlight has been the Curiosity Stream/Terra Mater Studios/Hooded Crow series 'Planet Insect', where my role was to craft unique soundscapes for certain sequences. It was a job that allowed me to go deep into modular synthesis and the shaping of field recordings into unusual sounds and atmospheres.

Sam was great to work with on 'Planet Insect', a 3 hour TV series on, yes, insects, made in Bristol, UK. He's very inventive with the sounds and textures, keen to collaborate and, importantly, fun and easy to work with! I was in charge of the main score, working with a live orchestra – Sam contributed his electronic magic, which needed to blend with the acoustic instruments, helping us build a sound world that said, 'insect'.
