I'll make your song come true. With over 40 years of composing and recording songs in both English and Spanish, I'm here to help you bring your project to life. Do you have an incomplete melody or lyrics? Do you have lyrics that need a melody? Or maybe you just have a simple idea you can't quite get to fruition? Contact me. I can help you.
Over the years, I've composed hundreds of songs in different genres. My specialties are rock, pop, ballads, folk, country, AOR, and country.
For some time now, I've been working in collaboration with various composers who send me their lyrics so I can work on the melody and shape the song.
I'm also in charge of recording and production to deliver the finished product ready to share. My two greatest advantages are, on the one hand, the ability to work in both the English and American markets, as well as in the Spanish-speaking world. On the other hand, I'm a creative, flexible, and efficient person capable of achieving memorable results. I'm a master of melody creation and have an in-depth understanding of everything that goes into putting together a good song.

Interview with Manuel Kyslinger
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: A few months ago, I worked on a wonderful project that challenged everything I had done before. I was sent the lyrics for a song called Dreamcatcher with the mission of achieving a style related to the Disney sound. It was one of the most laborious and delicate processes of my career as a composer: creating the melody, shaping the song, and finally producing it with the necessary finesse to achieve the mood of the required style. The result has been wonderful. Those who would like to hear it can contact me, and I'll send you the Spotify and YouTube links.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: My most recent work has been the production of a song called Cul de Sac. This song was born from a simple lyric sent to me from London. From those lyrics, I created the melody, structured and assembled the song, and finally recorded and produced it with my team of collaborators. I'm currently following the exact same process, also starting with lyrics. The song is called Belladona, and I expect it will be finished in a couple of weeks. At the same time, I'm participating in the "Song of the Year" contest held by American Songwriter magazine, in the Latin category, with two ballads: "Perdì" and "Y si te vas." Both are available on my SoundCloud.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: Trust me. While the process can sometimes be long, the results will surprise you.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: the freedom to create without limits
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: Do you think it's possible? Yes
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: that it is not a job
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: Do you want to create a unique song? Do you want to have fun in the process? What are you waiting for?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Have the confidence to truly tell me what you need. It doesn't matter if you don't play an instrument, or if melodies don't come easily to you. A song is simply an idea that needs to grow and develop. Together we can achieve it.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: my guitar, my iPad, my notebook and my creativity
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: In my 40 years involved in music, I've composed hundreds of songs in different styles, spanning rock, pop, pop rock, ballads, singer-songwriter, hard rock, Latin, and more. I've played in multiple underground bands. And for the past few years, I've been collaborating with artists to help them turn their ideas into songs. I create melodies, structure the songs, and produce them if necessary.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Relaxed, self-demanding, and extremely active when it comes to creating. I know how to listen and interpret what each person needs when beginning the creative process.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I'm interested in working with artists or aspiring artists who need to overcome their fears and insecurities. With those people who feel they have something to say but still need to develop the appropriate language to communicate it.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: You have to trust the song. And once you've found the right song, you have to develop it based solely on what it needs to connect with the audience.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Rock, Pop Rock, Ballads, Hard Rock, Pop, Folk, Country, Latina
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Each song is a unique universe, with its own logic, goals, and needs. My greatest skill is understanding the dynamics of that universe and being able to work within it without any margin for error.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I make them possible. I search for them, I find them, I build them, and I give them the emotion and personality they need to become memorable pieces.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: The first and most important thing is to interpret and understand the place the client or artist who contacts me wants to reach. What inspired them? What is the goal of the song? What style do you envision it in? And most importantly, I'm interested in inspiring enough confidence so that no aspiring artist or dreamer feels embarrassed if they have few tools in their hands. The creative process is a beautiful exercise in collaboration where each party involved has something valuable to offer. I guarantee we can achieve that song that's playing in your head and bouncing around in your heart.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I usually work with different types of clients, and each one requires different skills depending on my experience as a songwriter. One of the most common processes is simply receiving a lyric and some kind of suggestion or description of the style they want. From there, I begin my work, which consists of putting together the entire song: melody, structure, instrumentation, and final production. Generally, my clients choose to sing their own songs, but I have also been in charge of finding singers. On the other hand, I work with both English- and Spanish-speaking clients. Another very common process is receiving very rough sketches, sometimes with simple melodies or suggested ideas, and then beginning the creative collaboration, with the goal of achieving the song the client somehow envisions.
