As a film composer I have worked on projects of many shapes and sizes, from tiny budgets to larger TV productions, and so I'm able to adjust to the needs and expectations of your project and offer you the best option within the constraints of your production.

My specialty is in experimental hybrid sounds, where acoustic sounds mix with electronics to create unexpected ambiences. My favorite projects are definietly documentaries, genre films and video games, where interesting ambiences are always present and necessary to create the right mood.

Apart from being a composer, I also play the violin, and so I am able to make custom recordings of even the tiniest sounds in my studio. I also have a wide network of musicians I often collaborate with, so I can always count with good quality recordings to give that extra realism to any film or game score.

Thanks to my experience with many different kinds of projects, I am also able to provide a fully mixed and produced track that is ready to use, as well as stems that can be mixed by your own engineer. For video games, I can deliver assets in any format needed.

Interview with Renan Zelada Cisneros

Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That I work fast because it's easy to make these sounds.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Emotional ambient, with some experimental traits. I like exploring new sounds and finding the edges of what's possible, but at the same time the music has to support the image and express the emotions that words can't.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Thinking outside of the box while still sticking to the brief. I like taking concepts way out there and see where they land, try new sounds that neither me nor the film director expected. Often the results are pretty cool, I must say.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Musically, I'm very inspired by the music of Caroline Shaw, Johnny Greenwood, and Julia Wolfe among many others. Production-wise I'm always amazed by the depths of sound achieved by artists like Trent Reznor and S U R V I V E.
