Interview with 230PRODS

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: One project I’m especially proud of was mastering a track for an upcoming EP from an artist I’ve been collaborating with. While I can’t share full details yet, I played the role of mastering engineer, focusing on achieving clarity, punch and competitive loudness while preserving the dynamics and emotion of the record. It was important to maintain the identity of the mix while elevating it to an industry-ready level. I’m proud of how the final master enhanced the energy and cohesion of the project, and I’m confident it will make a strong impact once released.

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: Right now, I’m fully focused on mixing and mastering projects, as well as continuing to develop my skills as a songwriter. I’m constantly working on refining my sound, improving my workflow and collaborating with artists to deliver modern, competitive records.

  5. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  6. A: At the moment, I don’t have specific recommendations, but I’m always open to collaborating with other talented professionals if a project requires it. My priority is making sure the client gets the best possible result.

  7. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  8. A: I’m drawn to analog sound because of the harmonic saturation, warmth and natural depth it adds to a mix. Analog character often gives a record that professional, industry-level color. However, I believe the best results come from blending analog-style tone with digital precision and control.

  9. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  10. A: My promise is simple: to deliver industry-level quality with clarity, impact and attention to detail. I treat every project with dedication and make sure the final result represents your artistic vision at the highest level possible.

  11. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  12. A: What I love most about my work is creating music and collaborating with people who share the same passion. There’s something powerful about turning ideas into finished records and connecting with artists who truly care about their craft. Being part of that creative journey is what motivates me every day.

  13. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  14. A: The most common questions clients ask me are how long I’ve been working in music, how I learned mixing and mastering, and what I enjoy most about my work. I’ve been working in music production, mixing and mastering for over 4 years, constantly improving my skills through practice, real projects and live sound experience. What I enjoy the most is helping artists bring their vision to life. At the end of the day, everything comes down to one thing — I genuinely love music, and that passion drives the quality and dedication I put into every project.

  15. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  16. A: Many people think mixing and mastering are just technical processes, but they are deeply creative. It’s not about perfection on the first try — it’s about refining, adjusting and pushing the record until it reaches its full potential.

  17. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  18. A: I ask about their sonic vision, preferred tonal balance and overall energy of the track. I also request reference songs to understand the direction they want to achieve. Additionally, I like to know how they prefer to communicate and collaborate throughout the process. Clear communication ensures the final result truly represents their artistic identity.

  19. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  20. A: My advice is simple: invest in quality and trust the process. Come with a clear vision, solid recordings and be open to feedback. Mixing and mastering are about enhancing your identity, not changing it. The best results happen when there is strong communication and mutual trust.

  21. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  22. A: I would take my laptop, audio interface, professional headphones, camera and phone. With just those tools, I could continue producing, mixing and mastering from anywhere. The camera and phone would allow me to capture ideas and document the creative journey. Great music is about creativity and skill, not the size of the studio.

  23. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  24. A: I have over 4 years of experience in music production, mixing and mastering. In addition to engineering, I also compose, which gives me a deeper understanding of song structure, emotion and artistic direction. I’ve worked in live concert settings with artists like Neutro Shorty and Micro TDH, gaining hands-on experience in professional sound environments. This background has helped me develop a strong sense of impact, clarity and energy in my mixes.

  25. Q: How would you describe your style?

  26. A: My style is clean, dynamic and detail-oriented. I prioritize tonal balance, depth and stereo width while maintaining clarity and impact. I focus on delivering mixes that translate consistently across all listening systems.

  27. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  28. A: I would love to work with Arcángel because of his distinctive flow, vocal delivery and lyrical expression. He brings emotion, attitude and musicality to every record. Working with an artist of his caliber would push me creatively and allow me to contribute to a high-level Latin urban production.

  29. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  30. A: Focus on quality over quantity. You don’t need hundreds of plugins or sample packs to create professional music. Learn your tools deeply, make intentional sound choices and prioritize arrangement and emotion over complexity.

  31. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  32. A: I work with a wide range of genres such as Latin urban, trap, hip-hop, pop, R&B and afrobeat. My focus is always on enhancing the song’s energy, clarity and emotional impact regardless of the style.

  33. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  34. A: My strongest skill is precision mixing and mastering. I pay close attention to dynamics, stereo imaging, tonal balance and vocal clarity to ensure each record feels polished, impactful and professional. I focus on delivering mixes that translate consistently across all playback systems.

  35. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  36. A: I add depth, punch and polish to each track. I make sure the vocals are clear and expressive, the drums hit with impact and the overall mix feels balanced and dynamic. My contribution ensures the song translates well across all listening systems and streaming platforms.

  37. Q: What's your typical work process?

  38. A: I begin by discussing the client’s goals and sonic references. After receiving the multitrack stems, I carefully organize and prepare the session before mixing. I focus on achieving clarity, balance and impact. Once the mix is approved, I move to the mastering stage to ensure the track translates well across all platforms. I include revisions and deliver final WAV files optimized for streaming.

  39. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  40. A: I work from a professionally treated home studio using Ableton Live 12 as my main DAW. My setup includes high-quality monitoring, professional plugins and industry-standard processing tools to ensure clean, modern and competitive mixes. I focus on delivering high-quality audio that translates well across headphones, cars and streaming platforms.

  41. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  42. A: Tainy, metro boomin, kybba, skrillex

  43. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  44. A: I work primarily on mixing and mastering urban Latin music including reggaeton, trap and afrobeat. My goal is to deliver a powerful, balanced and industry-ready sound with clear vocals, impactful drums and solid low-end. I make sure every track translates well across all streaming platforms and sound systems.
