Pro Bass Tracks

CJ Fiandra on SoundBetter

I’m a studio bass player with credits including Grammy-winning artists, Sony Music sessions, and a track record across genres from pop country to prog rock.

With over a decade of professional experience and credits ranging from Grammy-winning artists to major label sessions, I bring precision, feel, and versatility to every track I touch. Whether you’re cutting a radio-ready country single, tracking for a sync placement, or building a record from scratch, I deliver the low-end foundation your music deserves.

I’ve recorded on projects for artists like Jamie O’Neal, Raelynn (Sony Music), Neal Morse (Transatlantic, Spock’s Beard), and Kayley Green, bringing both creative instinct and session discipline to the table. My background includes a degree in jazz studies, eight years as a top-call musician on Broadway in Nashville, and extensive work as a bandleader on cruise ships and national tours.

From modern country and rock to R&B, pop, gospel, and jazz, I understand the pocket, the tone, and the role of the bass in telling your story. Remote sessions are tracked with pro gear (Aguilar, Fender, Music Man, UAD, etc.) and quick turnaround is always available.

Let’s make your tracks feel right.

  1. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  2. A: Currently working on multiple projects with Aaron Gillespie and Neal Morse.

  3. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  4. A: Both have a place in any setting. Typically I prefer my analog pedals and DI’s but I’m never exclusive or close minded!

  5. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  6. A: I want to do my small part in bringing your song to life. I often say to clients “I am your hands,” I live to serve.

  7. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  8. A: I usually ask for their elevator pitch as an artist (I.e. name me two artists whose sounds you’re looking to combine). Then I want to know about the song and if they have any references as to what kind of bass track they hoping to get!

  9. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  10. A: Do not be shy, you hired us, we want to make you happy. Ask questions and give feedback.

  11. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  12. A: I’d probably bring two basses (one of the being my prized Jaco relic fretless, and a way to play along to tracks and hear myself. I’m pretty simple.

  13. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  14. A: I’ve been playing ever since I can remember. In college I worked in amusement park shows and cruise ship bands. After I graduated I made the move to Nashville I have been fortunate enough to be playing bass full time ever since!

  15. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  16. A: John Mayer is usually on that list. I love his song writing and his bands are absolutely killer!

  19. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  20. A: Most sessions in Nashville are typically country or country adjacent. But I love recording all styles. Currently have a blast doing sessions with a progressive rock band!

  23. Q: What's your typical work process?
