Explore his world and discover the sounds taking him to stages around the globe! Buman (The General) is a seasoned and professional artist. Buman El General.
Born in Madagh, Morocco, and raised in Bilbao, Spain, Buman (The General) is a multicultural Singer/Songwriter who has blended his diverse roots into a unique musical career. Music has always been his passion, but the spark truly ignited when he heard 50 Cent’s "In Da Club" at the age of four. That moment opened his eyes to the world of Hip Hop, rewinding cassette tapes with a pen in the good old days.
As his love for Hip Hop grew, he found himself immersed in artists like Akon, Tupac, Eminem, Dr. Dre, and DMX, while also being exposed to Moroccan pop. But life threw a curveball when his family suddenly moved to Bilbao when he was just 6, thinking they were only visiting his grandfather. He found himself in a new country, without knowing the language, and longing to return to Morocco. Music, however, was his constant companion as he adapted to life in Spain, discovering Spanish rap and vibing to artists like Nach, Toteking and El chojin, eventually gravitating toward Nikone, Hard GZ, and Fernando Costa.
At 13, his musical curiosity expanded further with the explosion of reggaeton’s global phenomenon, "Gasolina" by Daddy Yankee. Despite the rap community’s disdain for reggaeton at the time, Buman couldn’t resist the infectious beats, secretly embracing the genre alongside trap, flamenco, mambo, and even classical music. His playlist was a wild mix. Buman El General
