Interview with NEO

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: Honestly, I’m proud of every project. Each one has its own soul and story – and I could never rank them. That would be like choosing a favorite child. I'm always all-in, from the first note to the final bounce.

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: I'm currently producing an EP for a talented newcomer and working on cinematic soundtracks for a film project. Both challenge me in different, beautiful ways.

  5. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  6. A: Not yet – I’m new here. But if I connect with someone whose quality matches their character, I’ll definitely recommend them.

  7. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  8. A: Why choose? I combine the warmth and depth of analog with the flexibility and clarity of digital. The best results happen when both worlds meet.

  9. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  10. A: I give every project 120%. Whether it’s a major release or a demo – I treat it with the same fire, precision and respect. Your vision becomes my mission.

  11. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  12. A: The moment a track clicks emotionally – when it suddenly feels right. That spark where creativity meets connection is what I live for.

  13. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  14. A: Most clients ask: "How long will it take?" My answer: It depends on the depth – but I always balance quality with speed. I’d rather deliver something timeless than just fast. That said, I always communicate clearly and hit deadlines.

  15. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  16. A: That I just press buttons and add reverb. The truth is: producing means understanding emotion, psychology, structure, and sonics – all at once. It’s not just sound design, it’s soul design.

  17. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  18. A: I ask what emotion they want the listener to feel, what references they love, and what story the song tells. I also ask about deadlines, formats, and how involved they want to be in the process. The more I understand their vision, the better I can bring it to life.

  19. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  20. A: Be clear about what you feel – not just what you want. The best results come when you share your vision openly. Trust matters more than plugins. If you connect with someone’s sound and their energy, you’re in the right place.

  21. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  22. A: MacBook with Logic Pro & FL Studio UAD Apollo Interface Focal Shape Twin Monitors My Guitar M-Audio Code 61 – because even palm trees deserve melodies 🌴🎶

  23. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  24. A: I studied audio engineering and started working in studios early on. Over 10 years ago, I went independent – building my own sound and working with artists across Hip Hop, Pop and Film. Since then, I’ve produced for chart-topping albums and developed a workflow that blends technical precision with creative storytelling.

  25. Q: How would you describe your style?

  26. A: My style blends cinematic emotion with modern clarity. Whether it’s Hip Hop, Pop or film music – I focus on detail, dynamics and depth. I want the music to feel alive, like it’s telling a story beyond sound.

  27. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  28. A: Hans Zimmer – because he creates entire worlds with sound. He doesn’t just compose music, he channels emotion and makes it physical. I’d love to learn from that depth and bring my own edge into that universe.

  29. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  30. A: Command + S is the most important shortcut in music production. Inspiration is sacred – don’t let a crash steal your soul. + Bonus If it sounds good, it is good. Even if your spectrum analyzer cries.

  31. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  32. A: I mostly work on Hip Hop, Pop, and cinematic music – from hard-hitting beats to emotional scores. My sound moves between clean modern production and atmospheric storytelling.

  33. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  34. A: My strongest skill is emotional depth combined with clear communication. I understand what a song needs to truly connect – and I help artists translate their feelings into sound without losing their essence.

  35. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  36. A: I treat every song like a living being – something that breathes, grows, and carries emotion. I give each track a part of my soul, with the hope that it lives on long after we’re gone. My goal is to create music that moves people deeply and stands the test of time.

  37. Q: What's your typical work process?

  38. A: I start by deeply understanding your vision – musically and emotionally. Then I build the production, layer by layer, staying in close communication throughout. After the arrangement is set, I move on to detailed mixing and mastering. Every step is guided by both instinct and experience. I won’t deliver until it truly feels right.

  39. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  40. A: My studio blends analog warmth with digital precision. I work in Logic Pro 11, FL Studio 2024 & Pro Tools using a UAD Apollo Interface. My outboard gear includes the SPL Channel One and Tegeler Creme. I mix and master using UAD, FabFilter, Waves, Soundtoys, Izotope and more. Monitoring is handled through Focal Shape Twin, Yamaha HS8, Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro & AKG K712. For creative control, I use the M-Audio Code 61. It’s a space built for both inspiration and sonic accuracy.

  41. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  42. A: I’m inspired by producers like Mike Dean, Metro Boomin, Ludwig Göransson and Hans Zimmer. But honestly, every artist and client I’ve worked with has inspired me in their own unique way. I learn from every collaboration.

  43. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  44. A: I mostly create full productions from scratch – including beat production, arrangement, vocal production, mixing and mastering. I also compose emotional scores and trailer music with cinematic depth.
