Μastering Εngineer specializing in Pop, Rock and Classical music, with over 15 years of experience in the music industry. Whether you're preparing your first single or your next album, I’m here to give your music the final polish it deserves. Let’s connect! I’d love to hear what you’re creating!
I've been working as an Audio Mastering Engineer since 2010, with numerous collaborations both in Greece and internationally.
After completing my studies at Berklee College of Music, I joined Odeon S.A. in Athens, where I worked as a Project Manager and Mastering Engineer, helping shape the sound of many commercial releases.
At the same time, I also served as a Project Manager at Airbus Defence and Space in Spain, working on the "Active Simulation Cockpit Enhancement" project — a fully interactive audio-visual cockpit system integrating 3D sound, vibration, and psychoacoustic design.
This unique combination of musical and technical experience has given me a deep understanding of both the creative and technical demands of the music and media industries. I'm passionate about delivering masters that not only sound amazing but feel right — across all platforms.

Interview with George Antoniou
Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?
A: One highlight was mastering a live orchestral recording that was later used in a film score. Capturing the dynamics and natural depth of the performance was both a challenge and a joy.
Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: Currently mastering an indie pop album for an artist in Berlin and a classical guitar EP recorded in Greece.
Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?
A: Not personally yet but always happy to collaborate and recommend great professionals I come across.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Both. Analog gives warmth and depth, digital gives precision and flexibility. The magic is in knowing when to use each.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: I treat every project with care, respect, and high standards, as if it were my own music.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: That moment when the final master hits just right and the artist smiles. That’s the magic.
Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A: “Can you make it louder without killing the dynamics?” Yes, if it's mixed well. I’ll always aim for competitive loudness without compromising quality.
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That mastering is just making things louder. It's so much more! it's about space, tone, and emotion.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What’s your vision for the track? Any references? Where will it be released (streaming, vinyl, etc.)?
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: Look for someone who listens not just to your track, but to you. Communication is key.
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: 1.Maselec MEA-2 EQ 2.Maselec MLA-2 Precision Stereo Compressor 3.Antelope Amari 4.My KRK monitors 5.A solar-powered MacBook Pro
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I've been working as a mastering engineer since 2010. After completing my studies at Berklee College of Music, I joined Odeon S.A. in Athens as a Mastering Engineer and Project Manager, collaborating with a wide range of artists and labels. Over the years, I’ve mastered dozens of tracks that have been officially released across various platforms both in Greece and abroad. In parallel, I also worked at Airbus Defence and Space in Spain as a Project Manager on an advanced audio-visual simulation project. That experience sharpened my technical understanding of sound design, acoustics, and immersive audio environments. Skills I now bring into every mastering session. This unique combination of musical and technical expertise has shaped my approach: precise, musical, and always focused on bringing out the best in each track.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Balanced, transparent, and musical. I aim to enhance, not overpower.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: I’d love to master something for Jacob Collier his attention to harmonic detail and sonic experimentation is just next-level.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Less is more. Often, clarity comes not from adding, but from subtracting what's unnecessary.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Pop Rock and Classical are my specialties, but I’ve worked on a wide range of genres over the years.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Critical listening and musical empathy knowing when to act and when to leave space.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring perspective. After the mix stage, ears can get tired. I offer a fresh, objective, experienced take that helps the track shine across all platforms and formats.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I start by listening carefully to the song and the artist's notes. Then I approach the mastering with both technical accuracy and emotional sensitivity always aiming to enhance without altering the soul of the track.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: My studio combines top-tier analog and digital gear, including analog EQs, compressors, and high-resolution monitoring. It’s a hybrid space designed for precision and vibe.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I'm inspired by legends like Bob Ludwig and Bernie Grundman, but also by modern innovators who push sonic boundaries. I love when musicality meets technical brilliance.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I specialize in audio mastering giving the final touch to tracks, ensuring clarity, balance, and punch, while preserving the artist’s vision.
