Interview with Grizzli
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: I bring clarity, emotion, and impact. My goal is to enhance the artist’s vision, not just polish the track. I shape the sound so it connects — whether it's knocking in the club, vibing in headphones, or sparking emotion in a scene. I mix with intention, and always with the artist’s energy in mind.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: My work process is highly ear-driven. While many engineers rely heavily on visual cues like waveforms or meters, I trust my ears first. I focus on how the track feels — not just how it looks — to bring out the emotion, clarity, and energy in every mix. Each project is treated with care, not as a preset formula.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I mostly mix and master tracks for independent rap and R&B artists who record at home or in project studios. I clean up vocals, balance the elements, add clarity and punch, and make sure the final result translates well on all systems. I also do vocal tuning, beat mixing, and occasionally handle sound design or light video editing for multimedia projects.
