Bilingual Female Vocalist - Thea Danos specializes in jazz and Brazilian bossa nova and has recorded on countless sessions over the past 10 years both in studio and remote, including country, pop, and rock.
Thea Danos, a Nashville native often referred to as an “old soul”, has a romantic style that transports you to the smoky jazz rooms of 1950s New York as well as the intimate acoustic settings of Rio de Janeiro in the early 1960s. She has recorded at Ocean Way, County Q, Jay’s Place, and other iconic studios in Berry Hill and Music Row Nashville for Sony, Stager Microphones, sE Electronics, UAD, and other clients. She specializes in American jazz and Brazilian bossa nova. Inspired by her musical childhood, the bohemia and romance of this musical lifestyle chose her at an early age.
Her musical inspirations include Ella Fitzgerald, Milton Nascimento, Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra, Elis Regina, Astrud Gilberto, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Billie Holiday, and João Gilberto. While some of these artists couldn't be more different, Thea fuses the technique and inspiration gleaned from each to create what has become her signature sound.
Thea has toured the world since the age of fifteen as both a lead and backing vocalist. Her soft, sincere vocals can be heard on countless recordings and projects, having been requested in some of Nashville's top studios since her early teens.
