Dee Fry is a London based neurodivergent multi-instrumentalist musician, composer, vocalist, songwriter, community musician & sound & visual artist. They create & merge new intricate music, textural songs & immersive autistic-led projects that combine their ethereal music composition / performance with visuals in sensory soundscapes, through which they created the terms / concepts "Stimscapes" (or Stim-scapes), & "Autistic Folk-Songs", otherworldly yet welcoming. Blending elements from art-pop, post-rock, experimental, ambient, folk-songs, electronica, to contemporary soundscapes & live improvisations, they record & perform often layered sonic-song explorations through playing electric & acoustic guitars, keyboard, piano, synths, as a singer / vocalist, & through using sampled objects, field recordings, recycled sound, audio-visuals & adapted technologies. Often exploring relationships between reverberating sound+visual themes of ‘Senses, Regulation, Sustain. Delay, Decay’, of ‘Stimming / Repetition’, & through reflecting of what they describe as their experience of “ND Embodiment / Orbiting”, or “circuits harmonising natural rhythms of cyclic waves of divergent energies & sensory experience”, they make solo & collaboratively with a diverse range of interdisciplinary musicians artists, always aiming for a form of “ND+ affirming eco-musicology”.
