Variety is the spice of life and it's what teaches me to tune into your vibe. Whether you're a genre purist or an eclectic musical adventurer, my ears like to be both surprised and coddled by the comfort of traditions. I consider it my job as a mastering engineer to provide quality assurance, such that your music meets listeners in the right spot.
No music has ever interested me for it's quality of being average and I don't think this is the case for people listening exclusively to the Top 100 either. I think every listener has certain expectations and a certain level of willingness, sometimes even longing or perhaps detest, for those expectations to be broken. It's a spectrum of tastes, informed by both our listening and life experience.
I'm lucky to have been taught in this manner and it's at the core of my mastering work as I believe a good assessment is half the battle. I strive to provide you with a finished sound, putting in all the necessary work in terms of balance, loudness, depth, mix feedback etc. to achieve whatever we deem 'finished' to be. I value and encourage your input and don't set hard limits on revisions to allow for an open dialogue.
I'm a BSc graduated audio engineer from The Netherlands with experience in live audio, podcasts and computer programming, specializing exclusively in mastering since the latter part of my studies.
It brings me much joy to support you in the latter stages of your musical endeavor and look forward to collaborating.
I'm equipped with all types of industry standard tools including restoration.
