Hey there.
Dean & Boris here from the tiny little island of Malta.
We are songwriters, lyricists, musicians and producers who have worked on a number of projects.
In 2013 our song Tomorrow represented Malta at the Eurovision Song Contest in Malmo, Sweden.
The entry was published by Sony/ATV and went on to place 8th in the Eurovision finals and enter the UK Top 40, as well as the Irish, German, Belgian and Dutch singles charts. We also co-wrote and co-produced the follow up album Waiting For Tomorrow released on Albam Records.
In the UK we have had songs played on BBC Radio 1, BBC6, and other regional radio stations.Songs Dean wrote were featured on Channel 4's long-running soap Hollyoaks and as part of GoPro's 2016 live products launch in California. Boris is also a writer of an award winning musical called Porn, that ran through the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and in the Off West End in London.
We have also written/produced corporate radio jingles.

Interview with _______________________
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: While we have worked on many styles of music, we feel most at home in the Adult Contemporary/Mainstream Singer-Songwriter world. And that's mainly because these styles are song-driven and allow for more intelligent writing and musicianship.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: We believe our main strengths lie in our ability to marry melody and lyrics well. Also we pride ourselves on our ability to craft songs that have compelling structures. By this we mean we aim to write songs that have a beginning, middle and end, songs that tell a story through their structure as well as through their lyrics and that take the listener on a journey.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: We bring a lot of respect for the song itself. We always work to service the core of the song i.e. the basic melody, chords and lyrics. Production and instrumentation are decoration, which are definitely important, but if the song doesn't work, then no production, no matter how stellar, is going to help it.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: The song always comes first. We spend a lot of time honing the song, making sure the melody, chords, lyrics and structure are just right. After we settle on a structure, we record a quick basic demo, that is usually guitar and/or piano with vocals. We then tweak the structure as long as necessary, until we are happy. After this process, we start delving into instrumentation and production.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: For songwriting purposes, we have a simple set up to help us record demos that sound as close to the end result as soon as possible. We like to see the big picture so we can fine tune the individual elements/instrumentation of any given track. We work on a high-spec PC and use Cubase 8. We also have a ton load of VSTs and plug-ins installed (NI, Waves, Amplitube and the list goes on) so we have access to any instruments we may need.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: Our main influences include classic songwriters/musicians such as The Beatles, Billy Joel, Queen, Sting, Tom Petty and many many others. We are also inspired by a lot of writers and musicians who work solely behind the scenes such as Guy Chambers, Glen Ballard, Eg White, Ryan Tedder etc.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: We mostly focus on songwriting and lyrics. We can write to order. Perhaps you want a song in a certain style with a certain theme/topic in mind. Just get in touch and let us know what you have in mind. We have also produced work for artists in various styles from pop to rock, singer/songwriter material and even a bit of jazz.
