From producing Alt-Soul to composing for Film & TV, I've worked with some of the UK's best independent artists and session musicians as a multi-disciplinary creative. Top clients and collaborators include the likes of Maya Law (TLD Records), Audio Network, Kindelan and Nia Wyn. I am an artist myself with over a decade of experience in project mgmt.

Based between London and Norwich, UK, Freya Roy is a multi-disciplinary creative, working across the range of left-field soul, nu-jazz and alt-pop as a producer, mixer, and multi-instrumentalist.

Freya produces work for many implications, from Film & TV (currently creating a bespoke project for world-renowned music library company Audio Network) to her own solo artist project where she has garnered hundreds of thousands of streams as an independent. Her position as a performing and recording artist has connected her with a wealth of the UK’s top session musicians.

She has produced and mixed tracks for a range of independent, alt-soul artists including Maya Law (TLD Records), Kindelan, and Nia Wyn, hitting top editorial playlisting, high street in-store playlisting and gaining traction from tastemakers including Gilles Peterson (BBC 6Music), Jamz Supernova (1Xtra), British Vogue, COLORS, and Don Letts.

With a background in classical and jazz, Freya's expertise in guitar playing and original writing expands into bespoke composition and sound design, with an interest in orchestral/cinematic music, and a passion for discovering unique sounds using a hybrid approach of both analogue and in-the-box working.

As an experienced collaborator and recording artist herself, Freya understands what it takes to coordinate and manage a successful project from start to finish.
