Interview with Sollydrummer
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My strongest skill is my ability to adapt my drumming to fit any genre. Whether it’s rock, jazz, pop, or anything in between, I can adjust my style and approach to match the vibe of the song. I’m always focused on bringing the right feel, groove, and energy that each genre demands, ensuring my playing complements the music in a way that feels natural and authentic.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: What I bring to a song is an ability to add emotive, thoughtful drum parts that fit any genre. I'm known for playing with feel, always focused on making the drums work in harmony with the track. I prioritize groove, making sure every beat serves the song’s energy, while maintaining impeccable timing. My goal is to enhance the music and add depth, ensuring the drums elevate the overall vibe without ever overshadowing it.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: When I record drums, my approach is all about adapting to the style of the music and serving the song. I start by listening closely to the track, analyzing its feel and structure before attempting any drum parts. I’ll explore multiple options and variations, testing different ideas until I find the one that fits best. My goal is always to bring out the energy and groove that enhances the song, ensuring that the drums complement the music in the most natural and impactful way possible.

George Daniels’ unique take on timing and feel keeps me thinking outside the box, while Eric Moore’s energy and precision inspire me to focus on both technical skill and raw emotion.
