As a composer, I do extensive work with independent playwrights, directors, screenwriters, and filmmakers scoring diegetic and non-diegetic soundtracks in genres ranging from rock/pop to jazz to classical. In the past, I gave private instruction in drums, percussion, and accordion, as well as performance techniques and music theory.
I am the founder and president of the Yale Composers' Guild, Yale’s first student-led organization to connect undergraduate composers and songwriters and help them improve and find projects on and off campus. As president, I oversee all operations of the Guild, including organizing social events, managing communications with independent artists, and maintaining our relationship with the wider Yale community and beyond.
My compositions have won a few notable awards:
- Emerging Composer Award, Tribeca New Music Young Composer Competition
- Global Music Awards: Silver Medal, Composition category
- Second Place, Instrumental Concert Music Composer, IYCC
- Winner, String Composition (16 - 18), NFMC
