Freelance Producer, Mixer & Sound Engineer, based in Copenhagen. Taking asset in a conservative way of working with audio, I like to experiment with and challenge the basic thinking, always looking for a new way of doing things.
I have twiddled with knobs for several years, both in the studio and in live settings. I'm available for numerous kinds of "in the box" studio work.
Available for studio sessions as engineer. If you want me to mix your tracks, too, I'll go in the studio with you for free!
My philosophy is to always be very aware of the clients thoughts and wishes, but at the same time challenge their perception of the product, in order to further notch up the quality.

Interview with Mikki Christiansen
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: I am a huge fan of Radiohead and always will be. They are a huge influence regarding songwriting, musical soundscapes and also music marketing. As for recording/mixing engineers I am really fascinated by Dave Friedmann and the way he is able to smash drums - well, smash everything in a mix. The way he makes colorful, interesting mixes with the help of recording drums to hard on the preamps, distort a piano or what be it - make things pop out, catch your attention and not be afraid of 'overdoing' things - is something that I urge to do myself. If the client wants it, of course.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Both most of my clients and I like to record together in the studio and have me mixing the project as well. This makes for a coherent process that suits me really well, because this way I am able to plan out how I would like the mix to sound a lot better.
