Why hello there! My name is Jonathan Thompson, though many know me by my stage name: Jonny Martini. A third generation musician, I have been playing the drums since I was 6 years old. By 13 I was performing in the church and theatre, by 17 I was engineering, editing and mixing. I have had the great fortune of touring the world as a drummer and percussionist. Primarily located in Atlanta, I am not afraid to travel but I also have the ability to mix and record remotely. I am comfortable in many genres, excelling especially in funk, country, singer songwriter, hip hop, blues, pop, rock and alternative. I am a perfectionist on the stage and in the studio, when it comes to execution of the vibe. When I am sent a song to work on or working in studio, I work until the execution is nailed. I know how frustrating it is to drop a sizable chunk of change and end up with a product that lacks passion on the back end. A good mix engineer and session musician understands that serving the music and listener is the primary focus. Everything else, ESPECIALLY ego & money, is secondary. I also master songs, though that is not my speciality - but doing so forces me to mix in a way that mastering engineers love - dynamic range to work with.
