Q: What are you working on at the moment?
A: A few remixes for clients ongoing, producing an original track with a new artist and possibly mixing some live audio for a busy band I’m friends with.
Q: Analog or digital and why?
A: Digital. I’m too young to have experienced much of the analog world and I just love advancements in the tech industry.
Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?
A: To help them get their music sounding next level!
Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Solitary work. No external distractions
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: That anybody with a laptop and a set of headphones can do it.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What kind of artist they want their mix to somewhat align to, what they feel is the ideal sound they’re aiming for and where the music will be played/released
Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A: If you need someone to work with you at your level (whatever that may be) and to invest time into getting the best out of the music, you’ve come to the right place!
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: My MacBook, Sennheiser HD490 Pro headphones, my back up SSD and a practice pad with drumsticks
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I’m a musician with 25 years and most of my income is from playing music live. I got into music production and mixing about 15 years ago and caught the bug. Never stopped since.
Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?
A: Steven Wilson. Not only a great artist but a mighty producer and engineer in his own right. I could learn a lot.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Always take sufficient breaks to minimise ear fatigue

A: Pop, Rock, Downtempo, Singer songwriter material
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Continuing to strive to make beautiful music sound beautiful!
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Attention to detail and a willingness to keep going until we reach perfection or as close as can be.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I’m running a Mac setup with Bearfoot MM27 studio monitors along with several models of headphones from consumer to audiophile standard. I have several types of consumer earbuds to be able to accurately reference my mixes before finishing a project. I have a whole suite of pro level 3rd party plugins from reputable companies such as Waves, iZotope, Valhalla, UAD, SSL, Steven Slate and the list goes on.
