Pro bassist with 20 years of experience, Billboard-charting credits, and a deep pocket. From studio sessions to national tours, I deliver tasteful bass lines that serve the song! Fast turnaround, great tone, pro attitude.
Hi, I’m Jordan—a bassist, songwriter, and music professional with over 20 years of experience spanning performance, production, and music business operations.
I come from a family of musicians and grew up in Toledo, Ohio, where I picked up the bass guitar at age 10. Music has been my passion ever since. In 2012, I moved to Los Angeles to immerse myself in the local scene, performing with various acts and sharpening my skills. In 2017, I relocated to Phoenix, Arizona to join The Black Moods, where I spent seven years growing as both a musician and a professional.
Over the years with The Black Moods, I had the honor of performing alongside iconic acts like Whitesnake, ZZ Top, Shinedown, Gin Blossoms, Collective Soul, Godsmack and so many more. Playing venues ranging from intimate clubs to major festival stages like Aftershock in Sacramento, CA.
In addition to extensive touring across the U.S., with shows in Mexico as well, I contributed to songwriting, production, and the development of our recorded material. I've also had the opportunity to collaborate in the studio with legendary producers such as Eddie Kramer, Johnny K, Jim Kaufman, and Darrell Thorp—work that led to multiple albums and singles, including five tracks that reached the top 40 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Chart.

Interview with Jordan Arthur Hoffman
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: Groove, confidence and a vibe.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: I like to hear what the client has to bring the table first, and then evaluate how I can be of service in the best possible way.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I have been involved with music since 10 years old and have been able to call this my "soul" profession for almost 8 years now. Music is LIFE.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Sometimes, less is MORE!
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Typically rock, but versed in many genres. My first band in LA was a Hip-Hop act.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: iMac, Logic Pro X, Universal Audio interfaces, Fender guitars and basses, Ernie Ball Music Man Stingray 5, Rickenbaker bass, Orange Amps, Foppstar Amps.
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: As a bass player, I'm massively influenced by artists like Flea from Red Hot Chili Peppers, Ben Kenny from Incubus, Jon Stockman from Karnivool and last but not least, John Paul Jones from Led Zeppelin. These guys showed me how to introduce melody into the bass guitar. Not just dull playing or, more importantly, overplaying! Rick Rubin is one of my favorite producers of all time.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Session work including remote. I'm also available for shows and tours.
