Hi, I'm Noah from Minneapolis! I am new as of March 8th, 2025 (My price is low to find my first clients)!

I am a singer/songwriter with over 15 years of singing experience, 7 years of songwriting experience, and 5 years of audio/production experience (Logic Pro). I previously worked on another freelancing site and wrote around 50+ original songs as well as cut vocals for half of those projects. I am able to produce professional vocals for you with multiple different industry standard microphones and audio interface options.

My vocal range and tone has been compared to acts such as The Weekend, Justin Bieber, Bruno Mars, Miguel, and Bon Iver. I have experience in both performing and songwriting in many genres, but especially: Pop, Folk, Rock, RnB, Soul, EDM, and Alternative.

I am open to providing just vocals, or just songwriting, or both! Writing a single, a whole album, or even just developing a chorus or verse for you is something I can provide as well.

Nice to meet you, and I look forward to connecting further!

Interview with Noah Solomon

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: I worked on a song for a client who wanted an original song for his daughter. It was just a small project, I wrote the lyrics and melody, and my vocals were used as well, but the feeling of being a part of that still makes me happy when I think about it.

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: I am working on an EP for my own solo project! I am also improving my mastering skills.

  5. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  6. A: I don't know of anyone just yet!

  7. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  8. A: Both! Digital is quicker and easier to play around with. Analog is more fun to use, the tones are richer, and it encourages you to commit to a sound early.

  9. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  10. A: I promise I will treat your project like my own and put significant care into the final result. I promise I will never provide unoriginal work.

  11. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  12. A: I like storytelling through music. When you get the lyrics and melodies to come together, there is a feeling of excitement that is really fulfilling. I also love to provide a niche service that helps people with their needs, it makes it worth it.

  13. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  14. A: For vocals, can you send stems? - Yes! For vocals, can you provide harmonies and doubles? - Yes! Can you imitate the sound and style of another singer? - Yes! For songwriting, can you include this specific line? - Yes! Etc...

  15. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  16. A: For songwriting, I think people think that it is an easy process. There is a lot of trial and error that goes into it and is much more tedious than it may seem; especially when you are writing about ideas and concepts that need to be translated correctly, and done justice.

  17. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  18. A: What genre of vocals/songwriting are you looking for? Who is the intended audience (If any in particular). Any particular mood for the song? Key details that would help the meaning of the song?

  19. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  20. A: Provide all the details and files that are requested/necessary, it makes it much easier for a provider to get started on a project for you.

  21. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  22. A: Sm58, Laptop, Midi controller, audio interface, guitar

  23. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  24. A: I am a singer/songwriter with over 15 years of singing experience, 7 years of songwriting experience, and 5 years of audio/production experience (Logic Pro). I previously worked on another freelancing site and wrote around 50+ original songs as well as cut vocals for half of those projects.

  25. Q: How would you describe your style?

  26. A: Emotional, introspective, unrequited kind of vibe. Alt-pop/Singer-Songwriter

  27. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  28. A: There are so many small artists I want to work with, but for clarity, Coldplay. I think it would be super fun to write and perform an Alt-rock ballad.

  29. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  30. A: Side-chain your wet effects (Reverbs, echoes, delay).

  31. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  32. A: I love singing and songwriting in genre's like: alternative, folk, singer-songwriter, RnB, Pop, and Indie. I have always wanted to cut vocals for some EDM tracks as well.

  33. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  34. A: Both vocals and songwriting.

  35. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  36. A: Strong and versatile vocals, and thought provoking lyrics and melodies; I am able to sing and write in many different styles and genres as well. Often, I like to use a more emotional singing and lyrical style, blending falsettos and light vocal textures throughout records to build the soundscape.

  37. Q: What's your typical work process?

  38. A: When I am actively cutting vocals, mixing, or producing, I like to dial in key sonic elements early and build the record around those key parts. I do a lot of trial and error while building a record, always trying new things and getting out of my comfort zone. My work process for writing lyrics and melodies is different, I will take a walk with a journal and slowly find the words and sounds that feel right. Eventually I will come back to a work space and then organize them in a cohesive manner.

  39. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  40. A: I work in a sound treated room, with industry standard microphones and audio interfaces. I work in Logic Pro and alternate between analog and digital equipment.

  41. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  42. A: I am inspired by musicians like Labyrinth and Jon Bellion, their ability to create everything themselves at such a high-level is incredibly motivating for me.

  43. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  44. A: I most commonly provide vocals and/or write original songs and melodies.
