Sweder is an (international) touring, studio and session drummer from the Netherlands. Always curious to find new sounds and parts, he loves gritty post-punk, indie-alternative, dream-pop, 90's rock and blending vintage with modern, either recording himself from his studio or playing on stage. He's currently working with artists FIEP and Zo Lief.

Hi, I'm a drummer based in NL. When not touring, I do a lot of recording. Mostly working from my studio in Amsterdam, I love recording drums for other artists' music. I really enjoy finding the right parts and sounds for a song and trying out new things. Getting the right performance, sound and energy for a song is my focus, while also exploring the drums creatively. I own some lovely drumkits, both vintage and modern, a bunch of different snaredrums, cymbals and percussion stuff, and this allows me to go many ways sound-wise.

Parallel to finding the right drum parts and sounds in my room, I've also grown into the art of recording them. I really enjoy the difference in how drums translate to a recording depending on the drums, the way you place your microphones, the pre-amps you use, but above all: how you hit the drums. This is why getting the right perfomance matters, and how you get your drums to feel alive and with the right energy.
