Remote Rock Mixing

I offer my services to mix and produce your rock, grunge, and punk songs and albums

¡Hey! I'm Daniel, an independent artist with over 20 years of rock experience. I offer my services to mix and produce your rock, grunge, and punk songs and albums. Always interpreting and respecting the vision and needs of the musician.
For the past 6 years, I've been recording, mixing, and producing music independently in my home studio. I believe every band or independent musician deserves to showcase and share their music. That's why I have the tools to make your productions sound professional without breaking the bank.
I offer to mix your music using industry standards:
UAD Plugins, Line 6 plugins, with the possibility of re-amping through Line 6 HX Stomp, and Steven Slate Trigger 2.
The finished material will be delivered in MP3, FLAC, and WAV formats. Stems will also be provided. A complimentary master is included. You have the possibility of 3 revisions per song. Discounts are available starting from the second song

Interview with HdChara

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: The latest EP by Zombienpraga, called "EP'24," I recorded the bass, produced, mixed, and mastered the tracks. They are 3 different tracks in terms of structure and sound, and I loved the final result

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: Currently pre-producing tracks with Zombienpraga, listen to them on Spotify, great band!

  5. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  6. A: For now, mostly digital because that's what I have on hand, digital that emulates analog.

  7. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  8. A: Doing my best with the delivered material to make the song sound the way the client wants or even better, and always suggesting improvements or indicating if something is wrong. Basically, doing what's best for the song.

  9. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  10. A: What I love most is the process of seeing how the song starts to take shape sonically, how it begins to come to life, and seeing its potential.

  11. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  12. A: I believe the question is if it can sound like a certain band... and the answer is, let's try to make it sound like you.

  13. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  14. A: I think the biggest misconception is that if the delivered material is not good or well-recorded, it shouldn't affect the mix. The famous "we'll fix it in the mix."

  15. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  16. A: What doubts do you have about my work, what are your influences, and how did you record the tracks?

  17. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  18. A: Feel free to ask all the questions you have, as many times as necessary.

  19. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  20. A: I think to be practical, I would bring a solar panel, a rechargeable battery, a laptop, an Audient iD44, and software

  21. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  22. A: I think my style is still evolving, but the main thing is to make the song make sense, to keep my work as simple as possible so that the artist's composition stands out. If there's room for suggestions, I'll make them.

  23. Q: How would you describe your style?

  24. A: I think my style is still evolving, but the main thing is to make the song make sense, to keep my work as simple as possible so that the artist's composition stands out. If there's room for suggestions, I'll make them.

  25. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  26. A: so many..

  27. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  28. A: cut almost 3db in 160/315/635 hz

  29. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  30. A: Mainly rock, grunge, and punk.

  31. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  32. A: I believe in listening to both the client and the song, and being straightforward about what can or cannot be done with it.

  33. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  34. A: First of all, order is key. From there, it's always important to see what the client wants for their song and what can be improved, striving to achieve the best version of the song that is entertaining and fun to listen to.

  35. Q: What's your typical work process?

  36. A: The first thing I do is analyze the files sent by clients, checking that everything is correct, on time, and without problems. Then, I level the volumes with what has been sent and generally start mixing from drums, bass, guitar, and vocals, adding, in each case as appropriate, EQ, compression, saturation, generating instrument and FX buses, etc

  37. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  38. A: I mix and master "in the box", using DAWs like Studio One and Luna, and I work with plugins from Universal Audio (Pultec/1176/ATR102), Line 6, Audio Assault, Steven Slate, and Korneff Audio. For reamps, if requested, I use Line 6 HX Stomp and Blackstar bass equipment.

  39. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  40. A: When it comes to mixing, my main influences are Chris Lord-Alge and Brendan O'Brien. Musically, bands like Foo Fighters, Pearl Jam, Descendents, Black Sabbath, and Social Distortion.

  41. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  42. A: I usually mix and master songs for independent bands.
