Interview with MARCOS B - RADIO READY SONGS

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: It was my first project. The artist name is Kaique D'Campos. I was the producer, mixer and master of the song. He only recorded the lead vocals. For my first project, the result was awesome.

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: In a local artist named Lucas Camelo. He's releasing his first album in may/25. We're working on the last song of the album. It's a very eclectic album. It goes from rock to reggae.

  5. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  6. A: No one.

  7. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  8. A: Digital. 2025's. Digital is cheaper and smaller. The best gear is your ears.

  9. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  10. A: Your music will be radio-ready and you can compete with giant artists.

  11. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  15. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  16. A: Thinking that good plugins, good mics and good gear will do anything for your and your song will be perfect. But with bad ears, you can't achieve a good song, even with an awesome gear.

  35. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  36. A: Something different to sound like a new thing, not like all the others. Bring some identity.

  37. Q: What's your typical work process?

  38. A: First I schedule a meeting to talk to the artist just to know what his/her objectives are. How they want their songs to sound like and what are their references.
