We have IN HOUSE reputable musicians and songwriters to get your song finished fluidly and exported in the highest quality for you to distribute.

My name is Dustin and I have 23 years experience with all things music. Started off learning guitar at 11, bass at 12, some drumming at 15, and live performances with several bands at age 17 and counting. I started making beats for local rappers in between paid gigs for my rock bands. This simple production of rap music made me curious if I was capable of producing music for full bands, at this point my life changed and I've dedicated much of my life to recording, mixing and mastering local bands to the point where I'm ready to help worldwide musicians sound their absolute best with a full sound and supplying intricate nuances along with studio secrets I've learned throughout my years of exploration.

Interview with Lions Pride Studios

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: I was brought in to a band as a bassist. The invitation was from a previous band mate who suggested me as a bassist due to my creativity and maestro like approach to songs I felt needed subtle changes. The singer had these songs written down and tried to make it big for 10 years, I'm proud to say, after my modeling of his songs, we're now on our third album and fully produced by me

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: Sound engineer, bassist in two bands, and flooring installer

  5. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  6. A: No

  7. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  8. A: Analog pedals because they're more modular and sound more natural. I like digital sound processing because of the accuracy of what we just created and it just sounds better on streaming platforms

  9. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  10. A: I promise to be honest with you as long as you do the same with me. Then we will have a life long bond

  11. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  12. A: I love seeing and hearing people's reactions when they realize they're much better musicians now that they can hear every nuance and fullness in their sound

  13. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  14. A: Can you get this done by a deadline?? Absolutely

  15. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  16. A: I have no misconceptions. What you see and read is what you get, and that's life brought to any song in any genre.

  17. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  18. A: What instrument in this song needs to stand out, what part of this song needs to stand out, is there a lyric you NEED to be heard?? Are you open to working with professional studio musicians for hire??

  19. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  20. A: Be honest with how you want your song to sound. Don't be distracted by "my style" and why you chose me, tell me your vision and let me share my ideas.

  21. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  22. A: Zoom recorder, guitar, bass, drums and a megaphone

  23. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  24. A: I was born to be a musician, produce music and work with live sound. I have extremely sensitive hearing and a complex mind to bring the most out of any song

  36. A: I create space and movement to ensure any listener becomes immersed in the music no matter the genre.

  37. Q: What's your typical work process?

  39. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  40. A: I use 40gb Ram laptop loaded with Ableton software. My interface is an 8 channel input Scarlet 1820 that goes out to Adams Audio monitors in the control room, then Harbinger 15" monitors with an 18" monitor in the live room. I utilize feedback eliminators, crossovers, power conditioners and top of the line acoustic treatment
