Sarah is a vocal artist! She did a wonderful job at providing the perfect high quality vocals I was looking for, and created parts that added beauty to the song in ways I hadn't thought of. Working with Sarah was an awesome experience!

Sarah wrote and recorded an incredible Swahili intro and hook for my track; I knew on selecting her, based on her singing and songwriting talent, that she was going to bring the track to another level, but she shattered even my highest expectations! Phenomenal as a lead, as a harmony, as a songwriter, and as an all-around musician and collaborator. I hope to work with her again in the future

Interview with Sarah Siki

  1. Q: Tell us about a project you worked on you are especially proud of and why. What was your role?

  2. A: I directed a choir of children in Uganda for a live concert supporting education for underprivileged kids. I arranged the vocals, taught the harmonies, and led the live performance. It wasn’t just musical, it was transformational for the kids involved.

  3. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  4. A: I get to turn someone's idea into something real and moving. Singing is how I connect with people across the world.

  5. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  6. A: I ask: 1. What's your vision or emotion for this song? 2. Do you have any vocal references? 3. Are you looking for just lead vocals or full harmonies too? 4. What's your deadline?

  7. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  8. A: Clarity is everything. The more detail you share about your vision, references, and expectations, the better I can bring it to life

  9. Q: How would you describe your style?

  10. A: Soulful

  11. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  12. A: R&B, Soul, Gospel, Afro-fusion, and Pop. I also love working on film-style or theatrical music that tells a story, especially projects with emotional or inspirational themes.

  13. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  14. A: Vocal layering and emotional delivery. I understand how to make a vocal line carry weight, whether it’s soft and intimate or big and gospel-driven.

  15. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  16. A: Emotion, intention, and vocal texture. I’m also strong in vocal arrangement, building harmonies that support and enhance the lead without overcrowding it.

  17. Q: What's your typical work process?

  18. A: After discussing the client’s vision and references, I record a first take to lock in tone and delivery and send an MP3. Once aligned, I track all necessary layers - leads, harmonies, and BGVs and provide clean, well-organized stems.

  19. Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?

  20. A: Many artists inspire me! If I were to pick 3, I'd say India Arie, H.E.R. and Jazmine Sullivan. They inspire my unique Afro-Soul sound.

  21. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  22. A: I record high-quality lead vocals, harmonies, and background vocals mostly in R&B, Soul, Gospel, and Pop. Many clients come to me when they need a warm, expressive vocal performance or rich, layered harmonies that elevate their tracks. I also frequently replace AI vocals with real, emotionally authentic recordings.
