Age 21, He/Him.
The rates and hire prices may be low - but do not let the price fool you. I have 9 prior years of experience working on projects with industry-standard software and hardware, as well as direct connections to highly experienced studio engineers.
Outside my study, I have released my own songs on various labels - Most notably Argofox and similar labels with links to Monstercat, UKF and Ministry of Sound.
This is a brilliant opportunity to work with an experienced student producer/mix master engineer at a low cost, while you still can!

Interview with Rob Gordon
Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?
A: "Oh, every Music Producer must be a DJ, right?" While I can DJ and have done significant performances... Not all music producers do. It's a completely different art and requires an almost telepathic understanding of an audience and what they want to hear!
Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?
A: If this hypothetical island has electrical power, definitely my Mac Mini, Screen, Headphones, Audio Interface and Electric Guitar. That's all I really need to do what I do best!
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I have worked in Music Production since the age of 12... Which would have been late 2016. After seeing a Dutch DJ produce a track live on a radio show and seeing how effortless he made a draft idea, I was instantly hooked. I was gifted a copy of FL Studio 12 Producer Edition from my family, and not a day has gone past where I haven't had the program open. Since then, I have taken my career path much more seriously, buying my own copies of Logic Pro and various Third Party plugins to aid my production and now I am at the point where I am ready to enter the wider industry.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: Distortion has been around for many decades, yet still remains heavily underrated. Learning how to control and mix distortion and its different forms (Clipping, Saturation, Fuzz, Bitcrush, etc..) has shaped the path to developing my signature artist sound.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: Here's the great thing about starting production from the age of 12 - I have, over the years, trained my ears to pick out the tiniest details in every production. I can tell apart the positives and negatives of each mix and master, and apply my knowledge in production to identify processes used and think of methods to resolve negatives. My strongest skill, or asset, is easily my ears.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: There is a story that involves two great past musicians - Michael Jackson and Eddie Van Halen. When MJ recorded his song "Beat It", with Eddie Van Halen on the guitar solo, that's not all Eddie did! EVH actually changed some of the structure of the song itself and put forward suggestions to MJ and his producers, which they took on board were all greatly appreciative of! This is something I am also inclined to bring to future collaborations - not just simply mix and master, but also put forward suggestions and changes so that a song can sound the best it can be.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: Keep it simple, stupid. I like to work minimally, which brings great benefit to all aspects of my production technique. Working minimally ensures efficiency and ease when mixing and mastering tracks. I do not put on more processing than a track needs, for example - An important aspect of production is knowing when to stop!
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: I have my own home studio, which features basic hardware in the form of a Mac Mini, Komplete audio interface, Rode NT1-a, Presonus Eris 3.5 Monitors and an Akai MPK Mini controller. Software I have includes Logic Pro, FL Studio, Fabfilter and Izotope plugins. With my place of study, I have access to tons of industry-standard hardware, most notably the Audient ASP8024-HE and the iconic SSL Duality Delta 48!
Q: What other musicians or music production professionals inspire you?
A: My music journey began in underground EDM, my main inspiration at the time was Tim Bergling, aka Avicii. Recently, my inspirations have shifted towards various bands from the 70's all the way through to the 90's... Mainly the works of Toto, honestly.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: I produce, mix and master a various range of genres - There's really nothing I'm not open to! I specialise in pop, rock and EDM production.
