Jason Bradford on SoundBetter

Your sound, your vision—I bring 30+ years of experience, a collaborative approach, and a no-ego vibe to help your sound stand out.

I’m a music producer and mix engineer with over 30 years of experience working with some incredible artists. I’ve worked on award-winning records, TV placements, and countless independent projects. My credits include artists like Natalie Grant (Awaken, RIAA Gold), SheDaisy (Knock On The Sky), and 300+ song placements on shows like Shark Tank, The Apprentice, and America’s Next Top Model.

My approach is collaborative, creative, and down-to-earth—no ego, just a passion for helping artists bring their vision to life. Whether you need mixing, mastering, production, or songwriting, I’ll treat your music with the same care I give my own.

I work out of a home studio with killer gear- Apollo interfaces, Dynaudio monitors, and a collection of classic guitars, synths, and outboard gear. Every track I touch gets a personal, detailed approach to ensure it sounds exactly how you imagined—or better.

Shoot me a note and let me know how I can help! If you're working on more than one song let me know as well, we can package up some stuff and save you some money.

*side note: On the audio preview track, the only track I did NOT produce was for Natalie Grant. I didn't want to mislead, I was the engineer and did some background vocals for that track.

Interview with Jason Bradford

  1. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  2. A: I love that my work is always evolving. Music has so many layers and genres, and every new project brings something fresh that makes me smile. I especially enjoy connecting with other artists—the best conversations often start from something as simple as talking about a guitar tone. Collaboration and shared creativity are what make this work so rewarding.

  3. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  4. A: I’m currently producing two new tracks for a sync catalog while keeping the songwriting process alive. Writing is always happening—it’s more of a personal creative flow than something I consider 'work.' Creating music is both my passion and profession, so there’s always something in the works.

  5. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  6. A: I ask questions that help me understand where you are in your musical journey. Is this your first time working with a producer or mix engineer? If so, I’ll explain the process clearly without overwhelming you. If you’ve done this before, I’ll adapt to your workflow to keep things smooth and collaborative. I like to know what music inspires you and the artists who’ve shaped your sound—that helps me connect with your vision. I also ask about your overall knowledge of the music business. It’s important to me that you understand how to protect your art and have some basic info about publishing, PROs, distribution, and more. If you need guidance in those areas, I’m happy to help so you stay in control of your art.

  7. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  8. A: Find someone who truly listens to you and understands what you’re looking for. Music is personal, and every artist has a unique creative vision. As an artist myself, I know how important it is to work with someone who ‘gets’ your sound and can translate your ideas into something that feels right. Look for a creative partner who communicates well, respects your vision, and brings their experience to the table without overshadowing your voice.
