Interview with Agustin Garfias

  1. Q: What are you working on at the moment?

  2. A: I am constantly working to improve my sound and develop my own artistic music project, striving to create something unique and personal.

  3. Q: Is there anyone on SoundBetter you know and would recommend to your clients?

  4. A: i dont know anyone yet :(

  5. Q: Analog or digital and why?

  6. A: "I really prefer digital, as I love the clear sound it offers. If I need to add some color or texture, I can easily incorporate it to make the song more interesting. However, I'm not tied to any specific gear or sound – it’s all about what best serves the track

  7. Q: What's your 'promise' to your clients?

  8. A: I promise all my clients that we will work hand in hand to bring their ideas to life, ensuring that every detail is tailored to their vision.

  9. Q: What do you like most about your job?

  10. A: I really love how flexible my job is, and I’m passionate about developing ideas and bringing them to life – it’s something that truly blows my mind. Sometimes, I listen to what I’ve made and find myself asking, 'How could I come up with an idea like that?' It’s always exciting to see how creativity unfolds

  11. Q: What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

  12. A: Sometimes, clients ask me if I can help them finish their songs, and of course, I can! I'm always happy to collaborate and bring their vision to life, whether it’s refining ideas or completing the entire track.

  13. Q: What's the biggest misconception about what you do?

  14. A: My job is often compared to that of a DJ. Some people think I just mix sounds like a DJ does, but it's actually very different and much more complex. I create songs from scratch. Sometimes, when people confuse mixing and mastering with a DJ’s job, I explain that these are two entirely different roles.

  15. Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?

  16. A: What 3 songs are close to your idea?

  17. Q: What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

  18. A: My advice is to have a clear idea of what you want and choose three songs with similar sounds or vibes to use as references. This helps a lot since music can sometimes be very abstract and hard to interpret without a clear direction.

  19. Q: If you were on a desert island and could take just 5 pieces of gear, what would they be?

  20. A: my headphones my minilab 3 and my laptop, i dont really need something more to make music

  21. Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?

  22. A: I started making music 10 years ago, experimenting with different genres and styles. This journey helped me develop a versatile approach and a unique sound. After that, I delved into EDM and signed with several international labels, which allowed me to grow as an artist and reach a broader audience.

  23. Q: How would you describe your style?

  24. A: I describe my sound as melodic and progressive. I love adding rich textures to every song I create, giving each track depth and a unique atmosphere.

  25. Q: Which artist would you like to work with and why?

  26. A: Even though I mainly focus on electronic music, I would love to collaborate with Dua Lipa. I really admire her voice and think it would be amazing to create something together.

  27. Q: Can you share one music production tip?

  28. A: I always recommend meditating before starting to make music. It helps clear your mind and creates a space for creativity to flow freely, making the production process smoother and more focused.

  29. Q: What type of music do you usually work on?

  30. A: I usually work on creating Melodic House and Melodic Techno, blending emotional depth with driving rhythms to deliver tracks that resonate on the dance floor and beyond..

  31. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  32. A: I excel at understanding what people are looking for and bringing their vision to life. My versatility in composing and producing allows me to adapt to any genre or style, ensuring the final product aligns perfectly with your expectations.

  33. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  34. A: I bring creativity and a fresh perspective to your music. If you have a specific vision, I can adapt seamlessly to meet your needs and ensure your song turns out exactly as you imagine.

  35. Q: What's your typical work process?

  36. A: I start by listening carefully and asking questions to understand exactly what the client wants. Then, I begin working on an idea that aligns perfectly with all their expectations.

  37. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  38. A: I work with a carefully selected setup that allows me to deliver professional results while focusing on creativity and sound quality.
