Keiran Wetsell

Versatile Drummer

Keiran Wetsell on SoundBetter

Over a decade of live and studio experience, with high quality sound and equipment. Always well-prepared and on time. Serve the music first and myself last. Comfortable on thrash metal, slow jazz, and everything in between.

My name is Keiran Wetsell. I’m a Nashville/Murfreesboro, Tennessee, based drummer open to live gigs and studio work. I have worked at camps like CentriKid, and worked in Nashville studios like Grey Matter Studios, as well as many church gigs and small local performances. I have experience playing with and without a click track, and listening in to other musicians. I can play a mic’d kit, or an acoustic set where control and dynamics are essential. I can transport my own equipment as well, and own lots of misc. percussion, a nice cajon, a full drum kit with a variety of sounds, and a variety of cymbals.

Send me an email through 'Contact' button above and I'll get back to you asap.

Interview with Keiran Wetsell

  1. Q: What's your strongest skill?

  2. A: Versatility and adaptability. I work very well in unfamiliar situations or under stress when something has gone wrong. I can play any style, and I can play in any environment.

  3. Q: What do you bring to a song?

  4. A: Tasteful, dynamic drumming. An ability to play soft but fast, or loud and slow is essential. I also have the technical ability to play very complex, dense songs. I have a strong experience in learning math rock and metal tracks, but just as much in folk and pop 4/4 backbeats.

  5. Q: What's your typical work process?

  6. A: I get notified about a gig, chart out and learn the songs, then memorize before the gig.

  7. Q: Tell us about your studio setup.

  8. A: Typically I bring a 4 piece drumset, with hi hats, and 3 other cymbals. I have a variety of cymbals and percussion and other sounds to choose from depending on the setting and artist preferences.

  9. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.

  10. A: Live gigs running tracks, click, and playing drums, as well as studio work with rock and pop musicians.
