My name is Quentin Cox, and I am a music producer and multi instrumentalist who also specializes in mixing/mastering.
I play electric bass for my band, and play guitar/drums/keys on the side.
I am the co-founder and vice president of the University of Cincinnati's Music Makers club, which is involved in the local music scene of the city.

Q: What do you like most about your job?
A: Making beautiful music.
Q: What questions do you ask prospective clients?
A: What is your vision? At the end of the day it's the artist's song, my job is to breathe life into the vision.
Q: What was your career path? How long have you been doing this?
A: I started in music around 2019, although my work has gotten exponentially better since mid 2023, due to my connections with local artists and producers, as well as just focusing primarily on getting better at music.
Q: How would you describe your style?
A: Progressive/Experimental.
Q: Can you share one music production tip?
A: One of my favorite tricks to clean a mix is to get rid of unnecessary sub bass.
Q: What type of music do you usually work on?
A: Primarily Hip-Hop/Trap with a variety of local artists from Cincinnati, although I have experience with EDM/House music, as well as Alternative/Rock/Folk music.
Q: What's your strongest skill?
A: My mix and master process is surefire.
Q: What do you bring to a song?
A: A professional and clean sound to help you separate from what would be a dirty or lifeless mix.
Q: What's your typical work process?
A: My process is fairly typical, going through the production process, mixing process, mastering process linearly. I love testing songs on all different kinds of systems, monitors, headphones, car stereo, even AirPods. As I work I try and make the sound as cohesive as possible across all listening devices.
Q: Tell us about your studio setup.
A: Logic Pro as the DAW of choice, with my Kali LP studio monitors, Sennheiser HD600 studio headphones, M-Audio interface, and a variety of midi keyboards. I also have my physical instruments, my two electric guitars, acoustic guitar, electric bass, and Simmons electronic drum kit. Digitally I use a variety of premium plugins, such as Izotope's Ozone, FabFilter's professional plugin bundle, as well as other professional tools.
Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.
A: Production work, as well as final mixing and mastering.
